Correction: the kayaking trip happened on the Chile side of Patagonia, not Argentina as previously mentioned!!

When you hear one of the world’s most competent, courageous, and accomplished modern adventurers say “I’m scared. I’m really scared”, that should tell you how serious this is. A 15:00 video cannot come close to illustrating the hardships and incredible challenges these incredible folks face on almost every scout and portage on a trip like this. Truly astonishing. Many of these giant drops are class VI or damned close - where a mistake or a swim could cost you your life. Not to mention the incredible exposure they face when deep in the backcountry of some of the world’s most remote places - where no rescue would be possible. Nouria is one of the world’s greatest living athletes and explorers. Nothing but admiration for all she does and for all the people she paddles with.

This is the craziest coolest most extreme adventure video I’ve ever watched, and all I came here expecting to see was some kayaking highlight footage in crazy rapids. These people literally go into the unknown with ridiculous amounts of gear and they hike through brush, climb up cliffs and mountains, and then kayak down the craziest rivers. Meanwhile they are out where no one is there to help them if they get hurt, and literally every aspect of what they are doing is extreme. I’ve never been more impressed in my life. This is so cool to watch

This girl is the definition of strength, power , courage and just plain awesome. She is in so many ways a beautiful person. And a free going person , she loves what she does and it dont matter if you have a little or none at all money . She only needs enough to get her to where she wants to go and for her equipment, and thats it . And for me that is impressive. But they do say success is about money as much as it is about doing what u love to do everyday . I believe that whole heartedly. Please stay safe , keep on doing what u love . Because the day comes when u cannot do this any more or very little , you will loose a big part of yourself and that usually means your life has become non eventful. So good luck

Love this video, honestly you couldn’t pick a better team than this to take on a challenge like the Pascua. Nouria consistently amazes with her technical brilliance and fearlessness. I have followed Ben Stookesberry’s adventures for years and he is quite simply a legend of expedition kayaking. From Kayaking a remote walled-in gorge in Papua New Guinea’s jungles to running extreme drops on first descents in Africa, including one in which an expedition member was tragically pulled from his kayak by a crocodile, Ben has excelled at the extreme logistics required for these missions. Boomer is an absolute savage. I have followed some of his expeditions with Stookesberry, including one in which they kite ski across Greenland towing kayaks. On that mission and many others Boomer runs the drops nobody else will, the hardest of hard chargers. Send this crew on more adventures Red Bull! They never disappoint and work incredibly well as a team.

What I think would be so cool @redbull is if every year you did a long xc race where people can go by what ever they want as long as it's human powered, they have to bring their own food and tent, get all your athletes toghter and get sponsored by different aspects of each sport. It might be a bit difficult as some are much faster than others, ie paraglider vs bike downhill but the course is designed to make each class fairly balanced. Plz like so they can see this

man kayaking is so difficult. huge respect to these athletes. i went kayaking in a river once. and the current wasn‘t even that strong but when i wanted to cross the river at the end there was another small river entering the one i was in. so there were two currents in different directions and i got flipped instantly lol. i can‘t even imagine being able to kayak through fast rivers like these athletes do.

If you’re a decent kayaker (which these guys clearly are) it can actually be better to be in more powerful water when flipping up because there’s more to push off of. At the same time though if you get oriented off to the flow of the river or get out into a tight spot against rocks like she was in that one clip it can be quite dangerous so just depends

I kayaked for years, but never went enough to get good. Had a decent roll on one side, but non-existent on the other, so I always erred on the side of caution, and was never totally confident. Everytime I went, I always weighed the "fear vs. fun" factor and wasn't afraid to say no. Found out the first day on the Colorado at 28000 cfs, my roll wasn't as good as I wanted to believe, so that became a stressful trip. After watching this, in all the chaos and mayhem, knowing a swim is the LAST thing you want (and may be the very last thing you do), I just think, how do you even get set up to roll when you get knocked over. I mean, your confidence has to be unshakeable.
