I've watched some Real fans reacting to the game, it seems a lot of them were still convinced they have enough time in the last few minutes to do something. Saying things like "we just need one and City will crumble". I felt the same way. That's difference between the teams, their players and their fans. Man City is my favorite major team in the EPL (my heart is with West Ham). So, it is tough to see these gents have to endure this devastatingly unexpected loss...especially given that Manchester City has not won the Champions League in 52 years. As proud as I am to support Real Madrid, I feel selfish this time given that they have won 4 out of the last 8 Champions League finals. I have also supported teams that rarely win championships only to have them waste good leads; crumbling at the last minute against powerful clubs. It can be disturbing.
