IN CASE YALL FIND THAT MISO SOUP COMMENT WEIRD LMAO Miso soup has salt content so when placed on iron multiple times, it encourages rust. Deku has been there for around 3 weeks or so, so by the time he was ready to escape all he had to do was wait for the screw to pop out :)) So he used the soup given to him for food as his way out basically idk if I explained it right but yeah :)) Based on that one video about Yoshie Shiratori btw! I understand what you're trying to show, a part of Midoriya that claims that he isn't a villain and should be a hero, and sure, Izuku wanted to be a hero, but you have to keep in mind that he was rejected by hero society, even All Might, the man who he stand up to, told him that he can't be a hero. if All Might never of given One For All to Midoriya, then he would go through the path of a villain, realizing that he's not alone, that villains are just like him but also how much they are punished because of what they are. the younger Midoriya in this video is his old self, one that still thinks that he can be a hero, but it's too late for him, the damage has been done, he is now a headache for villain deku. good work on the animation

No, he really wouldn’t, not with canon Izuku. He never wanted to kill himself, he had plenty of reason too, but he didn’t. He was so strong, even when his life was a series of broken dreams, disappointment, isolation, and bitterness, he still wanted to be a hero. When All Might told him to be realistic, he was heartbroken, numb from pain, but he planned to trudge on, no matter how much he didn’t want to, didn’t know what to do. If All Might never said anything he would have still had his heart set, because earlier he told himself that it didn’t matter what people said, but after All Might told him, he resigned himself hopelessly, but steadfast and accepting, ready to start again; then he ran into the Sludge Villain and Bakugou.

I- Love that when is first transition from dream to waking up it's from the 'middle school him/his guilt's personification' and next one is from his 'villain/now' self. I like how in the first dream middle school self(let's call him Izuku) tries to reach out and convince him and he just slaps his hand away and then in next one, he(let's call him Deku) is the one that reaches out, when it's too late to come back and- I love that scene. When we see how furious it made Izuku that /now/ he acts like that. So full of anger before but now meek and maybe thoughtful, maybe slightly regretful, now, that he did what he had planned. Now, that he threw the world into chaos and not only because of the villains that he freed. It...hit me the most - that moment when Izuku just throws himself at Deku so desperate and furious, but most of all /hurt/. So damn hurt. The parallel, where the Deku's quiet was first the burning blind rage and then it was quiet simmering sadness- whether because of how hurt Izuku seems to be or because of his actions, I don't know. The same with Izuku's pleading, sad crying at first and then so /angry/... I don't know why but it suprised me that the keychain (?sorry, not sure if that's the right word) was All Might themed. Even then, he still... When Deku hit 'yes', for me it looked more like impulsive decision, something he did in anger at himself for having doubts. I wonder if Deku recognized AFO but still was overwhelmed by his aura or recognized him after he offered his quirk? After all, Deku's last line to him kinda implied that he knew who he was talking to. Oh wait, if AFO is in Tartarus then it's after Kamino right? At 0:49 Izuku's expression was amazing, the same with 1:02 and 1:03, when Deku wakes up and is both shaken and so frustrated with himself and then just decides to do what he planned to with cold anger in his eyes. That's what I see. I was really surprised by the miso soup line and had to pause that fragment because surely I saw wrong?? The pinned comment was helpful here 😅 1:17 "sucks to be him" well, yeah, sucks to be you when you/others realize that because of you the worst of villains are now going to run free again

What an excellent series. You did an amazing job and I loved the entire storyline. The fact it wasn't just him being edgy and joining the league of villains because he was rejected by allmight and society for being quirkless but actually made sense that he just wanted to show the heroes and their justice system weren't so blameless after all. He wanted people to know the truth. I especially like how he rejected All for One's offer and even though Deku is a villain too, he recognised this one was not one to be trusted. That also does not surprise me given how smart and calculating Deku is. And even though he pointed a gun at All Might, it wasn't even loaded showing he had no intention of doing anything to Allmight other than using him to absolutely crush Bakugo's dreams. Which in itself is pretty damn brutal but also the well deserved consequences of his own actions. I also feel for his past self though who is heartbroken that they've left their dreams of becoming a hero behind and become a villain instead.

This is amazing. The song and animation matches so well. The way you tell the story is great. The art is so good, much better then I could ever do. I was thinking of writing an ff inspired by this. Not about this to the T but I'm just so inspired and admire the fact that you didn't make Deku crazy and how his conscious is making him see his younger self. The ending where the younger version of him cried "we were supposed to be heroes!" Really got to me and gave me literal chills. I want to write an ff inspired by that aspect and my ending will be them somehow wanting him to enroll in UA and how his classmates slowly get to know him and really see where he was coming from. Like a: from good to bad to good kinda thing.

...why did i find myself manically smiling watching all the news shots. this is INCREDIBLE. The main part with Older Izuku by itself is great but you took it a step further to intertwine it with HIS YOUNGER SELF. And you timed it SO PROFESSIONALLY with this song! It fits SO WELL I have no idea how you managed to fit so much emotion into so few shots. You can tell SO MUCH from their interactions and Older Izuku's reaction when he wakes up each time. Young Izuku 'meeting' him and trying to cheer him up, the rejection and the repeated attempts, I straight up gasped when they started fist fighting. Major kudos to you.
