My subscribers made me buy kay beauty hydrating foundation in medium 125y. I got comments asking about Kay beauty foundation so here we are reviewing it in sunlight and indoors.
LIGHTING :
I have included sunlight and indoor light shades swatches.
I think this will be a good reference video for shades comparison and undertones understanding going forward from here. It will help everyone get an idea of different undertones.
SHADE
medium 125y from kay beauty is supposed to be for medium complexion with yellow undertones but is it ? be your own judge and see the swatches in the video.
MY SKINTONE :
I am a NC35 to NC 37 but i use NC42 because i love the undertone and it sits beautifully on my yellow indian medium skintone.

di help me , i bought a lakme foundation ( argan oil serum warm creme 120 ) it looks cakey .. gives patchiness , i have normal skin , which foundation should I use for flawless look in winter mac shade nc20- 25

Hmm good question which location do u live in. Climate matters a lot in finishing. I haven't used Lakme argan oil foundation. It didn't interest me enuf to buy it I have, from Lakme, their cc cream 9-5 beige which I love gives very good finishing with brush and Lakme warm pink rose powder. It has low Coverage. Very lightweight formula. Hold powder very well. Very smoothing. Chambour revitalizing Serum foundation gives good finishing with fingers. For normal skin it's moisturing in winters. I have dry skin so i use it round the year and love it. It has medium to buildable coverage. Pigment packed formula. That can be made glossy or matte depending on the techniques I use. Tats why this one is my fav. Maybelline fit me fn gives the same finishing regardless of the tool. Its a Demi matte finish with medium coverage. People pleasing formula. If nothing works there is always tools and techniques u can use to improve finishing. Primers fixing mists.

If you are Maybelline 128 then how come you are NC42? It shd be NC25 or NC30

absolutely it shuld be that way know. But it isn't when I tried nc25 in the mac store looks so white on me like I had put some whitewash wall paint and nc 30 made me look so pale but nc40 and nc42 looked so gorgeous it disappears into my skin, covered all the tan, covers all the pigmentation around the mouth gave like a sunkissed glow to my face. Looks so natural even in falsh photography. And 128 too is so undetectable on me. Here is My theory in the matter it's cuz 128 in Maybelline and nc 40/42 both are warm undertone. 128 being light cool yellow and nc 42 being warm yellow so it meshes very well on my skin. They Never look ashey. Look like my own skin. Yes u r right Nc 42 is waaay darker than 128 if u see them in a swatch. But when we apply a foundation the pigment in it mixed with the existing pigment in out skin becomes the final result we see. Once it on the skin it will never look like the Swatch. I read this and it seems that the oils from our skin also brighten or darken the pigment in the foundation. Actually The more foundations I use I m feeling the undertones matching is more important than shade matching. I am researching on different shades and undertones. I m planning a full video dedicated to shades selection.nd undertone selection

Not outdoors, in non humid environments, it will suck the moisture from bottom layers of ur skin making u age faster

Okay forever 52 concealer pe review shoot Kiya hai, foundation also will have to try. Oxidation is a skin prep thing but. Any foundation can oxidise. Prep and prime pe focus karna hai. Oily ke liye matte Primer.

128 is light yellow undertoned. There is no yellow tone in kay beauty. I use 125y in kay.

Chambour revaitalising serum foundation is my fav for my dry skin. U can also check out the bridal makeup tutorial video I Made on Katrina's bridal makeup using affordable drugstore products. the foundation and powder in that are better suited for Normal skin type.

thank u. 🙂❤. in sunlight there is nothing on the lip. In the after sunset indoor lighting there is Max factor velvet matte lipstick in the shade nude on lips and as blush at 5:30. This shade was available on nykaa few months ago now i cant find it. 😔. if we all petition for it maybe they will bring it back.

It's nt for dry skin. Smashbox halo glow is good for dry skin.
