Here's the thing, Milnick had two reasons for leaving: 1) non-refundable airline tickets 2) knowledge that woody pronounced (Wu-dee) was pleading the 5th and was steadfast on not cooperating/testify. So with that knowledge he had no problem leaving courtesy counsel. Apon faith and belief he would ultimately remain behind bars. But Lo. and behold the next morning he's ushered out of the jail an thrust in the Judges chambers to partake in a secret meeting. Allegedly he was coerced by the Judge and prosecutor to testify on the stand. That was the game & mind changer. Had he agreed to testify, perhaps Melnick may have took the refund loss and remained in Atlanta with the states star witness on the stand?

Got it, that sheds some light on the situation for me, thanks! Either way, it sounds like the judge and the DA's were out of line, especially to try and pull that off when Copeland's lawyer was out of town. That's still just not an ideal matter to have to sit in on. With this particular case, so many things have gone sideways. Have you been watching all of the trial testimony? Do you think Judge Glanville will be removed from the case?
