Terrific. Sensitive topic that needs to be shown. Well done.

This was really well done. I love the message as I work with victims of domestic violence. If you ever decide to do another movie on this heavy topic, explore the idea of psychological abuse. Some people endure years of lying and invalidation. For many (including men), the promises to stop the abusive behavior are what hurts so much. Counseling victims leads me to believe that disbelieving your own senses is the worst part of the abuse. Even if you are physically abuse (case dependent of course), the fear you feel that you may not be able to stop this again or protect your children can last a lifetime. Great job crew! P.S. you also did a wonderful job on the makeup. Vero's face when she was dressed up was very well done, but also the bruises were very realistic. Bruises change over time and I'm not sure if you intended this, but the fading of some bruises shows the timeline of abuse. (i.e. dark blue/black [recent] to light yellow [older]))

Hi Vero Here is my uneducated and subjective opinion (BTW SPOILER ALERT - watch before reading any further) First things first, I commend You for tackling serious and heavy subject, it takes lots of guts to go deep into darkest corners of human souls. I loved the idea of timeline split (marked by colorless parts). To be honest, I had to watch it 2 times to understand everything that was going on. I also liked acting and emotions conveyed by the people involved. When judged by the impressionist point of view most of the things were on point. I felt sadness and compassion for Kayla, also I could relate to the hope and warmth she received from her friends. That said, I felt the ending was a bit lacking. Last part made me tear up, however as an optimist I personally would give some more hope and encouragement for people brave enough to take "colorful" path. One more scene with friends where Kayla's life is getting back to normal, perhaps? There is also technical issue of Nathan being taken away without handcuffs, where there was clearly supposed to be a pair on his wrists. (Borrowing set or buying toy handcuffs shouldn't be a problem) All in all, I really loved the effort and the message, I am rating this 8/10 while keeping in mind this is 2 years old. I am looking forward to Your upcoming creations. Keep up the good work :)
