Kayla: You built your engine "right" because TORQUE is what accelerates the car on the street/road course. Your close to 600/600 wheel which will be wicked fast on the street/ off a corner on track. A strong clutch upgrade will be key to complete your package. These days lots of options to have the clamping force your motor requires AND still be managable "effort" to daily the car when you want to. You got it wired now Kayla👍.

Great video Kayla, always good to take it in steps as it makes tuning easier. Your car sounds so good. I hope when I eventually change my 1985 C10 which I bought new over to an LS3 sounds half as good as yours did before your build would make me pretty happy. You do a very nice job on the videos as well as the audio which I think speaks of your professionalism in what you do. The only problem I use to run into when building a bike or a car is knowing when to level off and be satisfied for a bit. Have fun with the car and good luck on any future mods Respect the power and "drive on".

As a testament to GPI’s tuning, and the big breathing LS7 heads and intake, this combo made 600 at the tires and 733 on the engine synopsis, with a very conservative 242° intake lobe on the cam. 😮 😳 💪 That’s very mild duration for a big 416 (for the desired torque delivery of a road course build). A lesser build would’ve given up a ton of horsepower on top. This one did not disappoint! It was also really cool to see how well the top and picked up power with the addition of the E85 and more timing. You can see where the power curve carried strong all the way to 7000. Big thanks to you and GPI for being so thorough with this build, and for documenting the details for us to observe and learn from. 🍻

I want to see this beast. I live less than 10 minutes away from GPI. I have only at 493 wheel on E, but I am on a 6th gen. Hopefully you haven't already left. Careful of E85 all the time. It does damage to rubber, especially O-rings, and of course E-85 is a magnet to water, so don't leave E in it while the car sits for a while or you can ruin your engine. Surprised that they did 100% E. Normally tuners don't recommend more than 50% because there usually isn't much benefit beyond that(but I think that is most likely because of stock internal builds). My personal tuner in Arkansas recommended about 30% E mix with 93 because I didn't gain anything beyond that but could slowly hurt the engine/fuel system.
@ccooper04 Жыл бұрын
Who was your tuner? I’m about 10 minutes from gpi as well. I’ve been debating between gpi and kk performance for my tuning.
@ricktaylor37482 жыл бұрын
Kala, you should ditch the E-85 fuel, it has corn alcohol in it. Which will gas wash your rings and cylinders. it's like running your engine low on oil. I suggest using Shell or Sunoco premium with some Lucas REAL octane booster, it makes 20 gallons of 93 octane into 96 octane. You really don't want ethanol in your fuel. (BAD stuff.) You can always use more Lucas. Depending on how high you want the octane level. I wish you had started your engine with open headers.👍😁

Not sure why you think you need an aftermarket starter, just get a factory one. Start changing unnecessary stuff and you'll have unnecessary problems. I didn't see details on what was happening, but if it was struggling to start while hot you probably just need to add a ground wire.

My Mantic Twin started slipping less than a year after install by a recommended shop with only ~500rwtq. US sales rep couldn't explain it. I switched to a Monster S Triple and so far the feel and holding power have been great. @AB-80X Жыл бұрын
@@evcass69 That’s very odd. I have had them hold up for much, much longer in front of way more power. Same for everybody I know who runs them. There must have been an issue somewhere. Either the install or bedding in. Or simply how it is driven. People often overrev the engine in takeoff as to not stall the engine. This can lead to premature wear, especially if not bedded properly. It needs to be clutched like a light weight race clutch
