Tennessee senator Marsha Blackburn lobbed this query at Ketanji Brown Jackson during her 2022 Supreme Court confirmation hearings. Blackburn was doing her bit for her party’s effort to enforce transphobic gender conformity, positioning herself as a defender of womanhood as something fixed and narrow. Is this terrible reading comprehension or intellectual dishonesty (or both)? Because it doesn't say "republican women aren't fully human" it says "women can't be treated as fully human in the republican party". Also? I married/divorced am conservative would have loved to have a husband that made enough where I didn’t need to work. I am also a socially liberal believe in taking care of my man cause he takes care of me. When i was married my husband. And I ran the numbers if I stayed home with babies. No childcare cost, no wear and tear on car, but I balked at doing all the other stuff by staying home babies, cleaning housework cooking and no days off. This was b4 internet social media. No investments. I went back to work figured it out and made him hire a housekeeper part time.
