Girl I bought all my stuff from your storefront, and did my nails for the first time last week and they turned out so good! Like literally better than when I go to the salon. I also can't even paint my natural nails to save my life, so I'm a bit shocked they turned out so well. Thanks for the tutorials, they helped so much! I do want to give a slight warning to anyone with semi-fresh piercings though. I have a 2 month old rook piercing that's been doing really well, but the night I did my nails it got really swollen and started to hurt pretty bad. I sort of assumed maybe I accidently touched it while doing my nails and something I had used was irritating it. I switched the piercing to a longer bar, and left it alone, and it went down after a few days. Anyway, today I did my sister's nails, and about halfway through my ear started to swell and hurt (I know for a fact I didn't touch my ear). Long story short, my best guess is that the chemicals/fumes or whatever is in the air while doing the nails is irritating my piercing. In hindsight it definitely seems like common sense, and in all fairness I have pretty sensitive skin. I thought I'd mention it though just so no one else has to learn the hard way lmao. Love your nail videos, and some of your hair tips have saved my life! Thank you so much!

Hello 👋 how are you doing today?
@charlottevincent6328 Жыл бұрын
i might be wrong but i think even if you don't have a gel allergy, your body still has an inflammatory reaction to using the products, its just that some people then have a reaction and some don't. so your body getting inflamed would make any recent piercings hurt and swell, you're probably fine though once it calms down!

i’ve seen a few comments about nails popping off after a few days or even a few hours, i was having the same problem until i realized what i was doing wrong. sometimes buffing your nails isn’t going to make it have enough texture. so you can use an e-drill with a sanding band on the slowest speed, or you can use a hand file to roughen up the texture. mine have lasted about 2 weeks (i got bored and took them off lol) without any lifting or any popping off! i hope this helps

Girl, your nails are damaged because of a technique not the frequency. Those redish spots on a nail plate is literally the top layer of your nail filled off. It makes your nails thiner, more sensitive and more prone to chemical burn from the gels and not so long-lasting cos this top layer is responsible for a hold. Hope i was helpful)

Hi Kayli, I just want to say I loooovvvveeee your content hehehe I've been your subscriber since early this year and already watch all of your videos (esp your nails content)! I just want to give you some tips if you want to use a primer. You can put it all around your nail but not the center part and let it dry for a few seconds before applying the base coat. I don't want to put a lot of primer on my nails because it can damage the natural nails (please don't be like me). And one of my favorite nail artists shared her tips that you can't (and should not) let the gel polish touch your skin. It can also make you have an allergy, just like if you didn't cure the gel polish correctly. Since you're making a lot of videos of gel nails, I don't want you to get hurt because of "over exposure" to gel polish, because if you do, you can't use gel polish again, even if it has a "non-toxic" label on it. I really love you! Mwah! Hehehe

Not Kayli, but if your nails are flat and you're using C curve tips, they might pop off. Or vice versa. The tips should fit your nail shape. I have a natural apex, so if I use flat nails, tips, they don't fit. Your glue could be bad/old. You could also not be curing long enough. Make sure you remove the shine from your nail plate, and you could even rough up the part of the tip in contact with your nail. Just wipe with alcohol after to remove dust. Make sure to use primer before applying the tip too. I hope this helps
@luisaaa82712 жыл бұрын
You've got flat nail beds like me :/ My gel press ons always pop off despite buffing and filling both my natural nail and the press ons, sadly this means that press ons aren't meant for you. The only nails that stay on for me are hard gel nails. Nothing else has ever lasted more than a week. Unless you can fit press on nails that have a flat curve (which I've never found) you're best to stick with hard gel nails.

I've had this issue so many times. Now I make sure to etch the underside of the false nails before applying the gel to them.. you can also use a non acid nail primer to chemically " etch " the underside.. it helps me so much.. nails stay on until I remove them ( like 3 weeks, probably could stay longer but I get bored) anyways hope that helps you babe💕💕
