best way is to load the lobby with ur friends who wont contest ur going for the three star.

I think Heartsteel as it gives you a lot of gold if you can have 5 or 7 Heartsteel. But you also have the chance to finish 8th with it so it's up to you if you want to take the risk or not. Better with tiny titan (+30hp) so you can take more damage and not die to early (maybe).
