Mash potatoes are great for fishcakes Kay just add fish bits to your mash season and shape into patties. Dip in egg then bread crumbs ❤ I grill mine so they dont fall apart too. Give em a go ❤ (forgot to add , best with drained fish from a tin and fresh herbs)

YORKSHIRE FISHCAKES. YUMMY. Not bad. Batter needs to be thicker. Mince the fish and put half as much. Part boil the spuds before you cut them, makes it easier and cooks quicker.

Those are unique fishcakes...usually they are made with cooked potato and smaller pieces of fish,and flour/egg/breadcrumbed rather than battered...I don't think it would actually be possible to make them your way without them falling apart and having raw potato.Good try though.
