god okay i had to watch it like five times before i was ready to leave a comment but now i’m ready! so so glad you finished and shared like just the way you show the slow, silent magnetism between them is so… intoxicating it makes you want to hold your breath, like! they are always moving closer and are never close! and then when there is speech between them it’s almost horrifying! like what’s been said can’t be taken back! i’m really obsessed with the trick motif in the show and with kaz in particular but i really like how here its clear that what’s real IS what’s between him and inej but it isn’t necessarily… pleasant? for either of them? instead it’s almost terrifying. you get it you really do 🎉

i love the trick motif!!!! i'd wanted to use it for a while because it feels like the single most consistent thing about them - being unable to discern whether what they want is even possible or "good", risking the reality of choosing each other and getting hurt anyway. i've always thought of them as a nonstandard couple whose best chance at happiness might be away from each other, not with each other. "they are always moving closer and are never close" is so apt. i initially had this whole idea with the thumbnails to choose a series of images where only one of them is ever turned toward the other, but never at the same time. i don't really know where the show intends to take them but the yearning is off the damn charts

wow! the quiet intensity of it was overwhelming. I absolutely love how you used shots of objects and the close ups, it really gave it all a special feel. I was so drawn to it I just couldn't look away, mesmerizing! also you portrayed so well the push and pull of their relationship.
