You know the dhanush (bow) which ram broke by mistake was the bow of god shiva that's why nobody was able to even move it . Ravana (the villain) was able to lift it a little bit because he was not only the strongest but also was the most knowledgeable being on earth. Also fun fact when sita was just a few weeks she lifted the shivdhanush with her tiny finger.

For your info. there are many versions of ramayana across india and srilanka . What we in northern grew up with or what is most famous one is valmiki Ramayana which is written by valmiki. This movie is based on it only.

In the north most people usually refer to Ramcharitramanas. Even this movie is based on Ramcharitramanas because Valmiki Ramayana doesn’t mention a swayamvar and the bridge was actually constructed and the rocks didn’t float in Valmiki Ramayana. Ramcharitramanas was written by Goswami Tulsidas ji who wrote it in bhaktibhav which is why you will see so much devotion here and the entire floating rocks due to writing lord Rams name is supposed to have a bhakti undertone.

12:52 sita mata wasn't a "reward" for lifting the bow of lord shiva, it is otherway around, one who can lift the bow of lord shiva is the worthy man to marry mata sita (which is lord ram). PS: BTW there's no swayamvar in valmiki ramayan just lord ram shown the bow of lord shiva, he lifts it (which is impossible for any single person to lift it) impressed by lord ram king janak asks lord ram's hand for marriage with mata sita.

They are provided with expensive cars and all kind of luxury but they have to dedicate their life to service people. So when your life is dedicated to servicing, the people you have no time to struggle like a common person for basic things that’s why they are provided with that luxury and security.

There are no demons like in the western fantasy, it’s a loosely translated term for Rakhasa, who choose not to follow Dharma, and do as they please (in Mahabharata, there is a long discussion on this very topic, who is a Rakshasa, and lord Krishna explains it, it’s roughly, “someone who choose not to follow their Dhrma, thinks there is nothing before them and nothing after them, finding pleasure in others torment, thinking the world exists solely to fully their desires” basically, action for dhrma is good(no matter how unpleasant, always truth is the absolute, even for gods) action on Adhrma is bad for society, inaction is also considered adhrma. Here adhrma simply means, that which isn’t dhrma(doesn’t mean evil). Infact, good and evil concepts doesn’t exist in Ramayana or Mahabharata, it’s all about Dhrma and adhrma and they are very subjective by nature, each person, animals, even insects have Dhrma to fulfill, like an actor on the stage and the actor has 3 choices here (act, inact, follow your desire, which I was saying before about Dhrma and adhrma) anyway it has nothing to do with morals, good and bad. For example, one of the concepts of Advitha vedhantha is Aham brmhasmi, roughly I’m the world, meaning? For them, everything that exists in the world is themselves(i know bit hard to understand but you don’t have to understand now) so basically, if everything in the world is you, there is no question of inequality, suffering, because you can’t be cruel to yourself, so there is no need for the concepts such as good, bad, equality, because, you can’t be equal or unequal to yourself, such concepts only apply between two individual entities. Advitha is the sum and substance of the entire ancient Indian culture, philosophy, wisdom(sage Adi Shakrachrya, proved this concept with countless discussions and debates, alas there are opposing viewpoints and in-fact there are atlest other 2 schools of thought that emerged to oppose this viewpoint, ig that’s what I like about Sanatha Dhrma, it’s simply efforts of people seeking truth, this is the science of soul!)
