Today, the topic is devoted to how the Kazakhs turned out to be under rule of Russia. We all know that in 1465 the Kazakh Khanate was formed, but after 300 years the Kazakh Khanate became part Russia, which for a long time was under the Golden Horde. In this episode, we will look at how Russia managed to free itself from the descendants of Genghis Khan's “Golden Horde”, which came from the Jochi ulus. The first campaigns in Russia were led by the grandson of Genghis Khan Batu. The turning point for the Russians was when Ivan Kalita helped the Golden Horde suppress the rebellion in Tver, thereby gaining its trust. Ivan Kalita was the prince of Moscow. From that time, Moscow began to become the center of the Russian people. As a result, the Principality of Moscow was liberated from the Tatar-Mongol Yoke at the end of the 15th century.
At this time, the Kazakh Khanate was formed. It was strengthened under the rule of Kerey, Zhanibek, Kasym, Haknazar and Yessim khans. Then the Dzhungars appeared. Jangir khan was the first to crush them. He spent almost his whole life fighting the Dzhungars. Further, Tauke Khan successfully fought with the Dzhungars. It was he who created the council of Bi: Kazybek Bi, Aiteke Bi and Tole Bi. Each Bi ruled Zhuz: Elder, Middle and Younger Zhuz. After the death of Tauke Khan, the Junghars intensified their attacks and a difficult period began for the Kazakhs that was called “The Years of Great Disaster”. However, the Kazakhs gathered again, and then the joint army was controlled by the khan of the Younger Zhuz Abulkhair khan. Then Abulkhair Khan, together with Younger Zhuz joined the composition of Russia. And after 10 years, Abylay Khan joined Russia with the middle zhuz. By the way, Abylay Khan successfully waged a war against the Dzhungars.
