I do agree with you about Kaz having a great ‘blues’, and ‘soul’, voice, BUT NOT when I hear this particular song (or the others she wrote the lyrics for like this one recently, based on her own personal life experiences). It’s just as 💖 as her others, however I wouldn’t consider it as a blues voice at all. If I were to choose one that was - I think it would be more like many of the covers she did (i.e. of Nina Simone and Etta James). BTW: They are just as great as this, and ALL her others imo! 👏 👍!

Yesterday, I saw a post on fb from our local theater, about a concert Kaz is giving in september in our country. I had never heard of Kaz Hawkins before, so I went searching to see who this artist was. Sometimes, a voice, a sound, a song hits you right in the heart. That's exactly what happened. Thank you.
