If you want a roamer to be effective you can always go for franco minotaur and valir as they can easily pull to the teammates since melissa always stays far away from you. And remeber that tigreal is not a good pick against melissa if she has a full attack speed build

I have used melissa against bruno and for me he does get to bully her around but once melissa gets her core items, my core items are corrosion scythe and dhs and with inspire I can solo him tho it depends on the situation

If I go against Melissa,my first item is always steel legplates. It can help you sustain because of the physical defense. Also, waiting for her to throw or miss her doll before kiting her is a good strat. And I don't always fight her head on if she has her inspire since she can out damage you, unless maybe if I have no choice. Also, in team fight, always mind her doll, if it was linked to you, much better to go away first before fighting back since her doll really hurts. And man, I wish have money to obtain may baby Nibara for Melissa

Layla is also a good counter to melissa. She has a huge range and can typically outburst or at the very least even out the damage

Well I used melissa once against a layla Even it was late game Layla can't burst melissa that fast Melissa can close the range and she has better sustainability comparing to Layla And I'm not even a melissa user just trying and that Layla was pretty good and Layla main

@@aljonloiuegomez84 Usually with layla, if you have proper positioning you should be able to land a hit or two before the enemy can get close to you because of her huge attack range. Layla also stomps melissa at the early game because melissa players can easily be punished with the 2nd 1st skill combo which does a largw amount of damage while securing the chance for you the escape (it has slow and a speed boost) if you cant outburst a melissa with layla its most likely because of the fact that you aren't using inspire. Losing out on flicker or sprint is a big loss but you should be able to lessen the pain if you have wind of nature (a must for mms unless they're composed of magic dmg dealers), haas claws and inspire. Each basic attack will heal you to 20% hp if you have inspire activated which should be enough to sustain damage from melissa once wind chant is gone unless. In the late game I don't see how layla could lose to melissa unless you dont take advantage of her range or she's already below 50% hp before the fight

​@@ABlandNameyou're must be coming from grandmaster. There's no way a decent Melissa can't win against layla. Her 1st skill is uselfull to close range and remember Melissa possess long range as well she can easily eat layla with her spell and Wind of nature or just build damage reflector.

Giving her enough movement speed snd range to avoid melissa's 2nd skill especially when used in combination with her second skill All you really need to do is build warrior boots and drednaught armor for melissa's damage to drop by 50%. In the late game its a 50/50 depending on who uses wind of natute first. But as I said from the reply I sent a year ago. Due to layla's range she has a slight advantage Melissa's first skill can close the gap but so does layla's. Although more difficult to use it deals high burst dmg (it crits) and also gives movement speed which really helps when repositioning against her 2nd like what i said Also no one builds "damage reflecting" items on melissa

Not gonna agree with this since lesley lacks atk speed in level 1 where Melissa can dish out consecutive attacks on lesley, making lesley's hp drop first than melissa.. In level 2 , Melissa can slow lesley and hit multiple times with 1+2 combo while lesley struggling to run after hitting her passive+1st skill. Lesley is no match against melissa in laning phase

And by then it's too late. Then you have to start waiting for late game dmg items to work up to two or three shotting her.

Lesley is the best counter for me than bruno because she has a higher atk range 3-4 fist skill hit and you already zone her out and you probably have atleast 80% of your health.

As a natan user. Everytime the enemy picks melissa, and the teams are balanced in skill. It's a free win. In the beggining you just gotta play safe and dodge her puppet. But once you reach level 4 and get your damage items, you can melt her easily

As a Clint user I never had much trouble against Melissa. You can dodge her puppet using Clint's S2 and you can also get out of its range quicker if you get caught in it His passive and S1 can take out a good chunk of her HP too

Melissa use s2 you dodge with s2 melissa uses blink to adjust the doll if she pops the inspire she out dps you cause of heals and in late melissa a attack speed mm will win most likely

Surprisingly Hanabi is a good hero against Melissa. Her bouncing attacks basically makes her a lane bully and she can just use skill one movespeed to break her puppet link

I used Hanabi to counter Melissa. It's very effective as her passive enables me to deal damage to her from a distance. Also, her first skill is useful to run from Melissa second skill. Hanabi second skill also deals a lot of damage. If you are able to keep your distance and deal damage to her, you can counter her.

Use brody: use 2nd skill to get out of range of her doll than attack her... U don't have to constantly attack her just put enough marks and burst her down with ult (also make sure that there is no gank on u cause u have to be at opposite side of your turret so that Melissa can't escape

I would say Brody can counter Melissa, just give her 4 marks and when she's below 30% HP, ult her. Gold lane Julian is also good against Melissa. You can use enhanced 1st skill if she activates her ult, with that, you can melt her hp.

I play zhask, and most of the time I am matched against this hero, the hero that has the passive to deal increased damage against summons, with zhask, a hero who's half the firepower relies on a summon and an ult that completely revolves around it, then yeah massive pain.

Irithel can bully melissa too, and yeah Bruno. Sometimes situational for moskov before his nerf, and wanwan can easily melt melissa once ultimate is available. Claude can really counter melissa because of his vengeance flexible spell.

popol and kupa can counter her, as long as you know where she will probably place her doll. let kupa attack her while hiding in the bush or when you see her about to use a skill, run to the opposite side. and when she uses her ult, just stand there and spear all the way.

Arlot kills her in seconds without her ult for those who dont know his first dash onto her even with shield he will just ignore the shield and still hit her and then get hit back so if shes low health and your passive is active just use your 2nd skill and finish her.

Kimmy and claude are her nightmare trust me , meissa depends a lot on windchant to out damage and survive late game , but with kimmy it's pointless , also kimmy ult late game hurt so much ,if he's 50% hp down she's dead . Lylia is far most the most effective opponent for Melissa. Lylia can burst her even she's far away plus if she got dps first she can just do her ultimate. Melissa would be really really have a hard time on early game but make sure she wouldn't make a comeback after destroying two turrents from gold lane.

Take Wanwan inspire and have a shoot out against Melissa. Wanwan has an easy time getting out of the puppet's way. Once lvl 4, there's no way you can lose a 1 v 1 in gold lane unless you miss ur weaknesses
