I like that they decided to cast a real deaf actress to play Echo keeping it comic book accurate. Originally Echo's leg was going to be CGI'ed in but the actress was such a good fighter they made the prosthetic leg part of her character. Not bad for her first job a Echo series was even confirmed a month before Hawkeye aired. From Amazon warehouse employee to MCU star; what a life changer.

Fun Fact: The girl who plays Maya/Echo did never act before. A Producer saw her in a Restaurant and she did fit perfect the Role of Echo, so he asked her. Now she gets her on TV Show :)

Hawkeye was primarily filmed in New York City, itself primarily in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Some scenes were shot elsewhere (Atlanta and Canton), but it's mostly on-location in the actual NYC.

Some of it was filmed in New York, some was filmed in Atlanta, it's a mix, the car chase was definitely Atlanta.

"In the comics" info dump episode 3: 1. Maya's actress is Alaqua Cox, who is herself deaf and has a prosthetic leg. While the character is deaf in the comics, the prothetic was actually added in the show to match the actress. The kid who plays the young version of Maya is Alaqua Cox's cousin. 2. That car Clint didn't want to get destroyed is basically pulled straight from an issue of the Hawkeye comics that included a very similar chase scene. 3. I think this was filmed partially in New York, but partially elsewhere. I think the surroundings during the car chase scene were particularly pointed out as definitely not New York.

The idea of a purple costume with a big H on the forehead is of course the classic comic book costume from way back in the day. Many comic book costumes would never be taken seriously in a movie. Anyway, with Clint's/Ronin's bloody past its little wonder that he wouldnt consider himself a role model and he certainly is trying to not inspire Kate to follow his path.

It’s at this episode that I became torn. On the one hand, I wanted Hawkeye to be able to get back to his family and have a nice Christmas. Likewise, I wanted Kate to be safe. And on the other hand, I feel Maya’s pain that’s come from losing her dad, and subsequently, I was rooting for her as well. I found that I really couldn’t pick a side.

Great reactions to this episode, Cassie!🎬👏🏽Most of the series was shot in Brooklyn, but the chase scene was shot in Atlanta. The sword that jack pulls on Clint actually belongs to him. It is Ronan's sword. When you said the sweat suit mafia you short circuited my brain. I was like, is that right? It took me a few minutes to remember it was track suit.

The exterior scenes were filmed in New York, on set stuff was filmed primarily in Atlanta with some later pick-ups/reshoots in Toronto. Some exterior scenes from subsequent episodes that are not set in New York, were filmed in Canton Georgia.
