Ken I learned day 1 not to get beef in Cuba. Very tough and chewy and tasteless. I also ordered a cheeseburger that they made by completely encasing the burger in cheese and deep frying it. You had to try and cut through a ton of oily deep fried cheese to find the burger.

Quick tip. As soon as you get to the resort, tip the cooks/bartenders a one time tip of $5-$10 and introduce yourself and your friends. They will treat you like royalty the rest of your stay.

I was here back in 2018. Loved the resort. The food isnt great, bring hot sauce with you as they dont really season anything. The beach though was absolutely amazing, right close to the shore I experienced swimming with schools of fish, getting up close to the baracudas, and on the last four days, there was one little black and white striped fish who matched my swim trunks. It thought I was its mom and followed me everywhere. In the morning it would take 15 minutes for the fish to find me then we would swim all day together again! Another drool worthy video, Ken! Can you give a definitive answer to the tipping issue, please? I've read conflicting reports--tip with US $1 bills BUT ALSO don't use US money to tip because Cubans don't like it--use Cdn $5 bills instead and tip less often. What say you?

Yes, you can tip with America dollars but they love Canadian money! Bring all the Canadian cash in small bills if you can, nothing bigger than a 50 dollar bill! Tip the maid everyday and the omelet cook if you have it every morning!
