Like this video and the approach to using Contenders as a gateway to higher divisions. Personally I think avoiding the main stacks like River Plate is a good idea, because that will be everyone else's strategy. Top half teams could be a better shout - cheaper, still have the chance to get promoted to Champions and there might be a club with a link-up for loans (like Eibar with Athletic Club) or U23 players (like Mirandes).
