which should be the better choice: kbear ks2 or kbear lark? i prefer a good balance of bass and sound clarity. i don't want the bass to take over or "dominate" the singer's voice, but to have clear bass and good sound quality.

You can check my review of the Lark to get a more specific opinion on my end about it, but despite it not being a low-end powerhouse, I'd pick it over the KS2 aaaaaaaaalmost all the time. (basically all the time...). For the situation you've described, I'd also pick the Lark to be honest.

Does it have boomy bass? I had zsn pro's it fits in my ear but it gives me fatigue on highs and also it lacks of bass

You can use for anything, as long as you’re ok with the little extra “oomph” in the low-end. Some EDM sounds a bit “much” to me with it, but nothing completely disruptive.

The blon bl03 and kbear ks2 is the same price at my country. So should I just go for bl03 or ks2? I don't know what genre I enjoy but I just want a practical and fun to listen iem. So what's your suggestion? recommendation?

劉 compared to other IEMs I’ve tested, every single song I know has a wide stage of instruments and even vocals was closer to a centre point on these. Not to say they have absolutely no sound stage tho.

Bl 03 is just 20$ and ks2 is around 15$, considering the price which of the two would you suggest?

Well, looking at just the IEMs, unless you really like a more bass heavy sound, the BL03 will deliver a more consistent performance

hi Gus can you recommend me a earphone that would be good with tidal please. around 40 ive been looking at the kbears ks 2 but here is the problem im disabled so the wrap around ear etc types are hard for me. would prefer just straight in thanks

Hey mate! Well, The only option that comes to mind would be the Tin T2, actually… good thing too, because its one of the best IEMs out there in the budget range. There was something else in the IEM realm but I can’t remember the name. That said, not as good (imho) but actually pretty great for the money are some gaming options like the Razer Hammerhead which has ANC and the Logitech g333, both of which have down-facing cables ;)

Ok... Short answer: KS2, even if bass quality is slightly higher on the ZSN Pro. Longer answer: Soundstage is equally "not impressive" on both, imaging and separation are a wee bit better on the KS2, and the dynamic range is also a bit weak on the ZSN. Bass and sub-bass are well extended but rather boosted on the ZSN, so a bit more impact and in warmer songs it does present a bit of bloom, but nothing like crazy... It still almost touches the KS2 in bass quantity, with slightly better quality. Vocals and stuff above 4k can be a bit shouty, with a little rattling, and above 8k it's a wee bit reassessed, so the Pro is a bit more "aggressive", I'd say. And the KS2 has a harsher presentation on the "S" region. Between the two, I'd go for the KS2 with foam tips to quell a bit of the harshness, because I can use it at higher volumes without it being too aggressive, and I can't say the same about the ZSN.

@@TechHyped hmm okay, so i choose ks2 over zsn. But, what about blon bl03? Some people say bl3 can be boring. I watched the blon bl3 vs ks2 soundtest. In certain part, the bass in bl3 kinda blocked the rest of the sound (i dont know the term for this case). Btw i like tame impala and metal music as well

Oh, the 03 smokes both of then imho... I’d go for the BL05 right now to be honest, but bass is rich, full and well executed. Less quantity, but much more quality in comparison. It does get a bit crazy with soundstage tho, but its super fun and energetic. Listened to a LOT of hard rock, metal, punk, trash and “Nu” when testing them. Can’t complain of either (03 or 05). I like the look and shape of the 03 better, but the 05 deliver a better overall sound experience. Check out me review on them ;)

Kbear has more lively fun. More detail sound thank blon 03 but blon 03 has much bass like upper mid amd lower. Also kbear has enough bass.

Not sure if KBear has cables or a direct site, but can you grab cables for them from KBear directly from KeepHifi (which were the guys who sent me the KS2 for review), Amazon or Aliexpress. I'd suggest taking a look at KeepHifi's website first to check the proper cables even if you end up buying them through Amazon, just to "try" and make sure you got the correct one.

I don’t know if you have reviewed this or not but I wanted your opinion I listen to a lot of metal and hard rock so I was wondering out of the kbear ks2 and the kz zsn pro x which one would you say would fit me better or is there something else you would recommend

Well, I've been very vocal about my problems with KZ's earphones in the past, and the ZSN Pro line doesn't really ring my ears, to be honest. I wouldn't say the KS2 are ideal for hard rock due to too much bass, honestly, and I think you'd be better off with something like a Blon BL-03, which you can probably find discounted for close to what these would cost you. I'd definitely pick it over the KS2 or the ZSN in a heartbeat, not just for hard rock or metal. If you can push your budget to arou d $50, the world opens up quite a bit, like the Kinera db005 pros which have a tonality I that think would fit your music proclivities better.

That’s personal preference, but for me, BL03! You could try to go for the 05, but the 03 is awesome

Upgrade the cabel and they are much better than the BLON-03th, Use a better DAC/Amp, too. ;)

This cable is definitely already better than the BL03 one. Better dac/amps could apply to either tho... If a dac/amp can bring the bass a bit down, open up the soundstage and control the highs with the KS2, it could also improve the qualities "missing" from the BL03 or any other IEM, but I don't see either of them being that transparent. Considering the price point is so close (and inexpensive), I'd say these are a Bassy Can, while the BL03 can keep up with low end while expanding soundstage, and the T2s are the more relaxed and mid-forward with adequate low-end.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they were from the same supplier/manufacturer to be honest. At these price points, cables, boxes and other stuff might as well be 100% customized OEM pieces.... Makes loads of sense, actually, but I’m not sure if it is or not

Is the bass really that powerful on these? I was going to go with KZ ZSN Pro. I think they look a lot better than these and are cheaper.

Alright, that’s a perfectly reasonable point... to clarify, the bass here isn’t “powerful”. In all honesty its overly bassy for my personal tastes most of the time. Its not sloppy, but its quantity over quality. After loads of people asking about the ZSN Pro, I went back to them from a buddy and both of them are equally overly bassy for me most of the time, but they trade blows in how much bass there is and the quality of that bass from track to track... if you’re fine with the looks and the better price of the ZSN, go for it dude! ;)

Doesn't matter what the ZSN Pros sounds like then, because these DON'T have a wide sound-stage... At all. If you're looking for a wide sounding IEM on a budget, I'd say the BL03 are still your best bet.
