This happened to my ult group too, but Im not mad about it. Cause you know there is a production team signalling them to wrap it up right? Because there’s a show after music bank that needs to show at a specific time slot. It would be a domino effect if music bank goes over their time all the other shows after them will be delayed… that affects paid commercials by major companies that pay a time slot for their advertisements to be shown, there are a lot of negative implications to this… it goes the other way around too, when music bank finishes early the speech and encore can be long and it’s fine cause it’s still within that time slot allotted to them. Anyway what I’m saying is, there’s many factors why that happens.

​​@@1_lightbox_1yes, theres staffs pushing them to wrap things up, but him as mc could hv handled this better. Mc is not just there on stage to read off the script, they are there to sync between the stage crews and the guests on stage as well. Just bc someone signal u to stop does not mean u hv to cut mid-sentence abruptly. He could've make a ment to smooth things out and transition things better to his ment, he could've signal the member, he could've just let him finish his sentence and maybe cut off some of his ending ment, he could've just cut him off before rj even started (he's been mc for how long he shouldve known how many ppl it usually takes bfore he's asked to wrap things up and rj was already the 4th person to speak), or if he was caught off guard as well then at least make a gesture that he's sorry bfore or after he cut off (thats pretty much common sense). It's worse bc its not his first time doing this. That's why ppl are mad, not just bc it's fan fav. Yes the mc and staff are doing their job, but that was not a profesional way of handling things especially if you are in show business on a public network.

i think ppl hv to understand this..yes there are staffs behind the camera pushing them to wrap things up. But the mc is there for a reason. A good mc is not just there to read off the script, or be pretty and pleasant. A good mc should know how to juggle between the time contraints, staff's instruction, the guests on stage and the proper etiquette (its not just in showbiz, its never appropriate to brashly cut off someone mid-sentence as a human being living in a society). May this be a lesson learnt for chaemin. This could have been handled better. And lets be real. Pls dont just ride on this issue bc u hate nct. I saw alot of ppl defending chaemin just to be petty, not for the issue itself.
