Soyul has such a beautiful voice, she would sing some beautiful OSTs or solo songs, we never got to hear its beauty as much when she was in Crayon Pop. Her voice even suits that children’s song so much! I bet even if she made an album just of children’s songs for kids that would even do so well.

@@bananaslippers9 Soyul (mom) got pregnant and then got married to Heejun (dad) the public believed they only married because of a pregnancy. Both Soyul and Heejun denied she was pregnant, but baby came and the public got more upset. Either way, both would have been shamed whether they lied about a baby or not because a pregnancy before marriage is shunned in Korea.

Nancee N actually it’s very easy for kids to pick up languages i know my college advisor has 3 kids who only used sign language for the first 6 months and are now fluent in English Spanish and ASL.... it’s easier for their brains to pick up languages however seungjae could memorize a lot about dinosaurs was very verse and could identify them by the toys i definitely think he was the smartest

They are such a cute family! I remember when news first broke out they were together/getting married people had lots of things to say...and with Jam Jam being born too. But you can see what joy they have in their lives in their little family! The kpop industry can be very lonely, esp after your group is not active anymore, so I’m very happy to see they have each other and Jam Jam now and can live this happy fulfilling life together ♥️

My heart aches for Soyul. Because she's now a mom she can't really be a singer anymore in Korean culture. She's expected to be a housewife even with her husband being amazing and supportive she would be looked down on for trying to get back into singing. I've followed crayon pop since they were doing guerilla shows, pre-Jumping blow up. You can see it was her dream. I wish she could have both because I know she loves her daughter

She might not be able to be an idol again but she can still be a singer if she wants to. Yeon Woo's mom is still a popular singer after having children. Soyul will most likely get into singing again in the next couple years.

I think the best way she can get back into singing is by doing children's songs just like the one she recorded in this video. That way it also shows her mom side not just her idol side since I'm pretty sure she's extremely proud of being a mom to Jam Jam.

I know. It's especially sexist and conservative in South Korea (as many places are). I wish women didn't have to bear most of the shame and stigma. Soyul is amazing and I hope she somehow finds a way to still pursue her passions. Just because she's a mom doesn't mean that her individual identity should end there, especially since men are allowed to continue their careers.

Unlocked Yes, but there aren’t really any Kpop idols who are mothers. SunYe of Wonder Girls left the industry after getting married and having kids. Let’s also not forget how Eli of U-KISS got so much hate and lost fans after getting married and having kids. He eventually left the group. There was also another idol from EXO who got hate and lost a lot of fans for the same reason, with people making demands for him to leave the group. Yes, there are singers in Korea that are married and have kids. HOWEVER, a Kpop idol is different. :/ People tend to force expectations on them to stay single / not get married.

I don't understand why, getting married and having a family means the end of a singers career. Other people in the entertainment industry continue their careers. Why can't singers? If they can't be in a group anymore, then let them go solo. Fans continue to enjoy their music, the singer continues to do what they love, and the company still makes a profit...win-win-win situation. Don't force them to stop what they love because they're married with children😒

Raising kids is a big responsibility and it comes with great sacrifices. One of the reasons why Jam Jam is so cheerful and loving is because her parents don't neglect her. They go out their way to make her happy and it shows in their efforts. Being a singer comes with stress. There's the greed to do better and to perform better, but that add stress in your way of living. Being a stressed parent is not good for the kid. The kid will start to worry and may eventually become closed off in order to not 'burden' their parents. This is critical in the family's relationship. I, too, encourage continuing one's career after marriage and having kids, but I'm not ignorant to the consequences it may entail. It's not as easy as anyone says it would be and you need to know your priorities.
