And I think it's kinda sad or maybe that's not the right word that we don't see as many women/wives (abusers in this case) as husbands coming here and the husbands saying hey she is abusing me, she is drinking or whatever - I think many especially Korean men have a stigma if I can use that word against them so it would be embarrassing to come here and say it. It's always the pig husband who never admits his own faults and then all of us point our fingers at him but very rarely the other way around.

@@watashiwaanni I totally agree. It's always "shocking" when a man comes forward when his wife/girlfriend comes forward with being abused and not the one that is doing it. It's always the reaction that "oh, it can't hurt that much" or "you're the man, just man up". I think it was a concern a while ago where the female seriously hurt the man but they didn't get how painful it was until they got to experience it themselves. Both sides can be bad and really hurt their partner both physically and mentally. The difference is that the man generally is bigger built or is seen more as a "fighter" or "head of the household" but females can still do the same.

Yes and usually it is also the mental abuse and manipulation that goes on. Especially the females who get pregnant with the sole purpose to "trap" the husband and tie them down with their claws. These women are very toxic. I don't know if it's just me but I feel like the mental abuse is the worst of all. Korean women however has it difficult when they get divorced and already have kids - very high stigma of divorcees sadly, but it is changing slowly.

@@watashiwaanni it's just the stigma overall and it's over the whole globe. Where I live, the stigma is not as extreme as it feels like it's in korea sometimes, but if you say "someone abused their partner" most people would think the guy hit the girl (in a straight couple). Abuse is often connected to physical abuse like getting beaten up or hit, but mental and verbal abuse still has such a scarring effect on people but it isn't less noticeable. With it being less noticeable as you can't see the wounds, people don't talk about it as much and don't see it as the same level of problem. The solution is often "just don't listen" but like sweetie, it doesn't work like that if you hear the same things over and over again for days, months or even years. It will get to you and it's such a power tool for the person that it using that type of abuse because they can do it in the dark with no one noticing it which is a huge advantage for the person but so wrong on every level possible.

I like that this show is slowly recalling the truth about mental health issues. It’ll take time for korea to understand but shows like this bring attention to the hell of mental health issues. Of course there are better ways but it’s a start.

Yet I understand her. It really stood out to me that in the last words in the first concern, the mother only mentioned to be a good mother and father to her children. She didn't mention anything about having a sweet marriage life with her husband or even get her husband to treat her right only to provide a happy childhood to her children.

We all know how we feel about all the concerns, especially the first one, but the last one was pretty nice in a way. I love how they were themselves throughout the whole concern, but I can see that there are much deeper problems that they're going to need to solve at home. They're a great family, so I hope some small changes will be added so everyone becomes happier. :)

I think the last problem is serious too. I'm in a similar situation. My parents fight all the time. I already take after my father's character. Now both of us became short tempered/stubborn and unfortunately my mother is the unlucky one in the middle. Although those 2 are 14+ they still can be influenced/affected by what parents do, especially if it happens everyday.

The woman should've left the man in the first concern a long time ago. He obviously doesn't love her, doesn't care about either his wife or his daughters. I don't get how she exposed herself and her daughter to such a man for all these years. whenever i see this episode everyone from kindergarten to will-die-tomorrow gives stress as an excuse. I mean everyone undergoes stress, what is a big deal in that! My major stress reliever is a happy family time. If I am at hostel I just call my family or hang out with my friends and that helps a lot!
