I remembered clearly taht chanhyuk said they will nor perform Dinosaur on stage because they are afraid if seohyun could not reach the high note. But she totally slayed it

They have also stated that they would *never write a song about debts or debt collectors threatening their family* The dinosaur represents the fear/nightmares/demons a person faces. They're singing about constantly having that fear around them, hidden in plain sight, and it slowly builds up to the point that they feel the need to scream loud in order for them to go away.

When my daughter was a toddler 27 or 28 years ago, the little girl next door who was a year or two older was terrified anytime someone said “Dinosaur”, so we had to make sure nobody said that word. My daughter will turn 30 in January so that little girl would be 31 or 32 by now. But this song brought back memories. I wanted to comfort her and tell her dinosaurs died off millions of years ago and that she will never see one, but just saying the word terrified her so we had to talk about something else and avoid the word completely.

I think its meaning is the dinasour are sadness, anger, disappointment or sth make people feels depressed. There was a lyric say i would shout louder than the dinosaur, like they would overcome the darkness times or feelings 😁😁. ( just my opinion, plz don't hate me :() )

Actually the brother chanhyuk told “DINOSAUR” is about AKMU’s childhood, and specifically the bad dreams that Chanhyuk used to have, which included those with dinosaurs. The dinosaurs are a metaphor for 채무자, or debt collectors who used to trash their house in order to instill fear. As many may or may not know, AKMU’s family used to be very poor-poor enough that eventually they had to move to Mongolia for a while to escape Korea’s more expensive lifestyle. Therefore, these dinosaurs that haunted Chanhyuk’s dreams represented their family’s struggle and the debtors who caused them fear. You can find the album explaination on naver 😉
