i feel like the core of this story is something that I personally relate with. I think it's good that he's trying to guide her, but I feel like it got weird when he started trying to meddle with her love life. Like I grew up with poverty and I still am nowhere near financially stable so I understand the drive to get enough money and not be reckless. I truly get it, my parents immigrated to the US to try to give me a better life. Even if I hate my parents, they did me a huge favor and because I'm glad, but the downside is, I don't have old money. In my one shot at life, I have to make money myself and hope I live financially well enough or i have to live paycheck to paycheck. So, I know how sometimes, even if it's not fun I understand being really cautious about money because they don't come from a wealthy, high middle class, or even just middle class family since they relied on their single dad. It's hard, it really is with only one income and said income isn't big. but i think it's really weird that he tries to control her dating life as if he's playing as her dad and she's a teenager. She is 22, if he wants to manage her money and advise her, thats fine, but don't also try to manage her love life, that's just weird. And I get it, he's had to play as the father figure financially, but that doesn't warrant him stalking his sister through security cameras or cockblocking her.

I'm the eldest in my home so I'm a bit overprotective too and I kinda understand that brother, he just doesn't want her to do any mistakes and kinda find it hard to believe that she's fully grown-up and totally free to make her own decisions. The thing is, he's being overprotective with the wrong way, I mean reading all her messages? I'd be terrified if I were her. But that doesn't make him a bad brother anyway, I mean he even helped her having her own business at such a young age.
