So he works with what he has, and adds ethusiasm, humility, etc. It's not that the fans can't see what he lacks, they also see what he brings to the table. There's no performer out there who is perfect, and even those who are close to perfect get undermined by laziness, or having a bad attitude, or having a drug problem.
