I don’t understand why the mother thought it was all fine and dandy to put all the blame on her child for her OWN inability to take care of him. He did not deserve that. I have a huge respect for single moms but this is partly her fault. Instead of blaming her child for his misbehaviours, I wish she would ask herself how and where she went wrong. Projecting your insecurities on your child, comparing him to his dad who was abusive to him. Ma’am, that is a huge no-no.

Heather Grace certainly didn’t look like that when reading the comment also, No ones claiming that she didn’t do anything wrong, but in life with children it’s a journey and she wasn’t taught on what to do, she’s not an angel but it doesn’t excuse the things her son has done to her. If she was so aweful she would have reported her son to the police for theft. I know plenty of people who have done just that. She didn’t create him to behave that way, it was a series of people like the father and that house hold that ultimately led to this person we see in front of us in the video

Yeongja hit it on the nail with first concern, how was she able to understand all that soo quickly. The kid is traumatized and lost interest in what mom wanted him to do. Like he just went to school to hang out with friends. Probably because he was lonely This is very sad I hope the mom and son develop an unbreakable bond. I feel bad for both of them imagine what the mom is going through as well. She must be lonely also and she doesn’t have a partner to share her concerns with. They should be giving comfort and encouragement to each other. Instead dealing with on their own instead of working together. 🙁 I wish them best don’t give up you have each other.

The first concern leaves such a bad taste in my mouth ˊ_>ˋ It's as frustrating as it is understandable-- my mother does the same, what with telling her children that their parents can die at any time, what it's cost to live, what _we've_ cost, threatening separation when angry; how she fears we're becoming like the people she's complained about to us the most; pushing her opinions forward so strongly it's hard to bring up our own.. It hurts to be brought up that way, but the circumstances make it hard to change, and it's just as easy to call it an act of tough love. ,,I don't know how this situation could be fixed, but I'll hope for the best for those two.

My parents are divorced too and I live with my mom. I'm kinda in the situation where I'm not fond of my dad and his actions but my mom constantly says that I'm like him 💀💀 I get so angry and say that I'm trying to change but I can't help it, I mean he's my dad. I get organized and short-tempered from my mom, lazy, irresponsible, quiet, shy from my dad LOL She says that she tells me so I can recognize what I do wrong and change, but it's just hurtful. This actually made me kind of mad. Being a single mother myself. My child’s father bailed but I have my parents who help watch her while I work. Yet, even though I’ve had he toughest times, went through ppd, I would NEVER blame my child and lie. That as you can see will effect them for their life. Another thing the boy is only 16. Teaching him to be independent is great but she’s treating him like he is much older than he is. He is still a child learning. She needs to guide him and help him. Okay rant over lol

Well, Mom's doing some things wrong, but she does love her kid and is genuinely concerned for his future. Unfortunately he needs her more than anything else, and I'm not sure she's...capable of doing that in a manner that will be helpful to him right now. Parenting ain't easy, especially if you're a single mom who likely had little support at the time of you're divorce. There's no mention of grandparents - she sounds like she's really been on her own for quite awhile.

I can understand where the mother is coming from, and I can see that she really loves her son but they way she does it is just wrong. She puts all the blame on him. When she said she had conversations with him about the problem and even cried I was super frustrated. She should show him that she loves him unconditionally through actions, comfort him when he is struggling, reassure him instead of putting the blame on him for not opening up to her. He does not trust her and feels like they're going to grow apart if he's honest. Again I understand that she wants to raise him well and wants him to be independent, but she doesn't know how to do it. Instead of making him do it himself she should guide him, help him get a job or find something he likes, be involved with him and support him. She puts pressure on him by saying that she's gonna die so he needs to grow up faster and get a job. Kids aren't supposed to grow up faster, she should let him find out who he is, what he likes and dislikes and find his own path. Hopefully she'll change and with that change things will get easier for him. I wish them all they best, they genuinely seem to care for each other so much, but don't know how to care for each other. Like i always say if you don’t have the ability to raise a child, dont do things harshly. You’re just gonna make them suffer in any ways. Although people always say that abortion is bad and killing a life. But if you think about it a lot of people end up abandoning their kids after giving birth to them or do things like this concern and make the kid suffer.
