SONE since 2009. SNSD such a miracle...never thought that my elder brother that had followed heavy metal music, emo punk, and other noisy and scary music fell in love suddenly with these 9 maidens and soften his heart. He introduce me to the group. And then almost more than 13 years later, i still can't get over kpop over my head. The girls along with fellow other 2nd gen group were truly leaders of hallyu. PS : okey i am apologise for my mistake. But we cannot ignore the fact that they were used to be 9 until 2014 become 8... it is okey. We have to accept it and moving on. But the past is always beautiful if we can cherished the memories of all of them completely.

Yes, they really sing. They do so wonderfully. Live and real. Very little lipsync. Very little autotune. They are just that talented. And very little rap, more recent groups like ASEPA seem to only rhyme and pose. You need to do more than look pretty and rhyme and rap ladies. Learn from great groups like SNSD.

I'm korean and GG was literally my childhood. BUT. I will say their live wasn't that good. The first and only time I saw them live was at this family festival/concert around 2011 and Davichi and SG wannabe was there. I remember Taeyeon being the only one good at live, I was really shocked at how she was the only good singer. It was worse because they were probably being compared to davichi's live back to back lol. But you know what, they're still legends! and their live performances and technique has gotten significantly better over the years too

Although I only discovered SNSD since 2019, but I began following them in chronological order, beginning with Girls Go To School, and now I have a digital library of SNSD interviews, variety shows, special stages, radio appearances, TV performances, MVs and concerts et cetera probably around 2 terabytes, so I've learned their voices pretty well I think. From the start of my SNSD journey, it was clear that as a group they had great vocals overall, and that the 'vocal line' members, of course, stood-out in particular. There have been a few times where I got an initial impression that SNSD were lip-synching but closer examination has demonstrated to me that their microphone levels were being adjusted 'on the fly' by the stage sound engineers, balancing the 'MR' or 'backing-track' with their live voices as needed, because the various members in any given performance weren't necessarily in the best vocal condition, because of having colds or just being worn down by their intense schedules, so such tuning was necessary to avoid disappointing fans. I'd look carefully at their mouths and throats when I suspected lip-syncing, and to my eyes ( and my ears too) they all actually sang, regardless of the sound mixing. They may have actually sounded 'bad' during such moments, with the performance being saved by the sound mixers lowering their mic volumes and increasing the MR or backing track for a bit, but I don't think I've ever seen them simply 'mouth' the lyrics...performing on stage, they really do sing, no matter what. It seems Tiffany often provides the proof they really are 'live' because she get's so excited and 'goes off-script' during performances. SNSD's concerts always amaze me because of their stamina and their spontaneity. SNSD simply don't do 'fake', in any form, and it's a part of what makes them truly and properly, "The Legendary SNSD" .

Live first stage and breath sound bc of the dancing and singing.... I'm a VIP, not a fan but have watched them be insane and funny in variety show and now look back how they sang, how they harmonized in pure vibe....make me laugh more and respect them more.
