Beautifully done documentary. Thank you for sharing her story, this is the first I've heard it. 29 years is too long. Since there is DNA, can anyone reach out to a genealogist to start building a family tree?? There has to be a way to solve this since there IS DNA. Bless her kids and her sweet family. I've never totally bought into the idea that being stabbed many times and with "passion" indicates that the crime was personal. I think back to the horrible things Bundy and Dahmer did to their victims bodies, and i don't believe they were at all familiar with the people they killed. So I'm guessing this was done by a stranger and that at some point DNA will solve it. Until that day, i can only imagine how frustrating not knowing has been for the family.

Same. You also cannot know the intent or feelings of the criminal based on how many wounds there are or stuff like that. It bugs me when they base their investigation on such nonsense and might even explain why this isn’t solved yet. Those kinds of assumptions create tunnel vision.

Do you know how these databases work? Not everyone in the world is on these databases; they'll only be if they have committed a fairly recent crime or if a family member has done genealogy testing. DNA testing is worthless if they have nothing to compare it to 🙄.

What about Tommy Lynn Sells? He might be the killer! He was executed in texas in 2014, for the murder of 10year old Katie Harris (God rest her soul) but he was known as the "coast to coast Killer" . He killed people in different states all throughout the USA. Though he was only convicted of 1 murder (Katie) they have confirmed his victims (murdered) to be 22 , although Tommy alleged that the true sum is 70 murders that hes committed. And many there was no rhyme or reason. Thats why i was thinking he might be the guy because he killed Katie in the early evening, didnt know her (she was 10) and he stabbed and slit her throat, as well as her best friend Krystal, also age 10..Krystal lived and testified on trial which he was then convicted and got the death penalty in Texas, so one of the reasons why the other confirmed murders werent tried and officially linked to him is because in Texas, once your convicted and put on death row, its texas law that death row inmates do not ever leave death row IN TEXAS. Because Illinois wanted him there for a trial of a triple murder he alleged, and since so many of his details matched the un publicized details of the crime, they wanted a trial in Illinois to confirm and convict, but, texas death row inmates do not leave alive, so - illinois case remains cold. I dont know about currently, but id imagine they have his DNA, idk- sounds like his style maybe... God bless this family here, as well as Katie, Krystal , and all his victims. These stories are hard enough to watch because of the tragic content, however why do producers use these awful background songs in the video. It seems an epidemic with crime docs lately. These unknown canaries all chirping their songs where there is really no need for them. The singers probably have some connection to the producer or production team somehow. It’s distracting. This isn’t some coffee shop or open mike night that needs to highlight some chick who’s thinks she’s the next Sheryl Crowe or Melissa Etheridge. Just tell the story and leave the soundtrack to Disney.

Is there such a thing as a “perfect” stranger? Nothing is perfect. He may have crooked teeth, or felony convictions. Maybe he dropped out of high school or got fired from a job. That doesn’t sound like a perfect person to me. 🤷‍♂️ And just because he may be a stranger to you, that doesn’t mean he isn’t known to somebody else. Which means he isn’t a “perfect” stranger. A perfect stranger would have to be completely unknown to every single person in the universe, which as we know is a physical impossibility.
