The best generation is the “X” Born between 1965 to 1980. We got some of the disco & break dancing music. The 90’s weren’t really good because of grunge bands, sorry…but people like Kurt Cobain messed people up. I didn’t like his influence. It was actually quite scary. We did have some music that was cool. Disco bought all colors of people together. . Excluding the fancy disco couples..anyone can dance to this song. The disco songs are coming back slowly ….probably get the movie “Studio 54” soundtrack. I don’t think the younger generation is as talented…they use computers for everything, There was a show where they came up to kids and asked them to add, subtract, multiply they couldn’t do it . They use computers & phones to do the work .. I’m glad that I don’t have a teenager. I couldn’t be a parent to any of the kids now. I went to a store. I saw a 8 year old screamed until the parents gave him what he wanted….then he told his mother to “shut up.” First of all I wouldn’t even think about doing that…but if I did do that I would get yelled at and spanked, and soap in my mouth. + be grounded when we got home.

Michael Wright To me it seems life was a lot easier and more prone to happiness BEFORE the internet and social media were invented. If you wanted to meet people you had to leave your home to do so. The amount of friends one has today seems to be based on how many likes and subscribers you have. No matter where you go people are on their phones. I don’t believe this is a healthy way of socializing. Even the music is alienating.

@@mariogiresi6792 I agree totally. Just recently a friend and I were discussing that very thing. Also how back then after school and on weekends us kids were 'forced' to get to know each other and go out and play because that's all we could do..socialized. skelzie, kick the can, stickball etc. No social media and it was great! Ohman how I miss those times.

Disco was fun music to listen and dance to. The late '70s and early '80s were great times for dancing! The music was uplifting and it made everyone feel good. KC and the Sunshine Band had lots of great music ("Get Down Tonight," "I'm Your Boogie Man" from 1977, LOVED that song, and their love ballad "Please Don't Go" late 1979-early 1980). And their interracial lineup was AWESOME. KC was a genius in more ways than one!

As a child, I was PAINFULLY shy....BUT, when this tune came on the radio, as a child, I would break out into dance, whoever was around. Kids...do the darndest...and funniest....things!! Yet, appear to have more SENSE than the most "mature" of adults to relieve their "pain" or "fears"...as well as do some other very "sensible" things. So,...maybe.... "adults" have more to learn from them than the other way around?! Children are a BLESSING,...NOT A CURSE! AND should NEVER BE DISRESPECTED, ABUSED, HURT, LIED TO, OR NEGLECTED...BUT, TREASURED...AS OUR "SALVATION"...FROM "WASTING" OURSELVES, OUR LIVES,....AND, OUR STUPID, SELFISH BEHAVIORS.
