I bought a Halder Feroplex for working on my bikes, 30mm steel face on one side and white plastic on the other for more gentle persuasion.

I always carry the baby Halder Supercraft ! I back it up with a 6 oz Crosspein ( Warrington for our Brit. Buddies ) , good for subtle beatings ! I also carry either an Eastwing Ballpein , or a Stilletto hammer in the big “ D” ring on my TP XXL .

I have always found 160mm combination pliers as either too big or too small, so I got rid of them. I have bought Knipex 08 26 145 and 01 06 190 and now I am a very happy man. These two are so much more useful than any of 160. And they are VDE insulated, so I feel safe.

Put about 450 sq ft of lvp in with that dead blow this week. Really nice to use!!

Good review tho have a look at CK tools also German high quality slightly more expensive than knipex very popular in the UK and Europe 👍

Nice score ! Halder’s are awsome , I always carry the baby of the family in my TPXXL ! One area we would disagree on is Scissors , I’ve gone back to Klein Electricians Scissors , less bulky than Knipex , and easier to replace , gotta say I was never too fond of the holster supplied with the Knipex scissors , I had one come adrift of it’s clip . Mine have been either re homed , or relegated to bench work .

Dang! Those Wera Tool Check cases really are popular. KC Tools won't have any until Dec.9 That's funny you call linesmens pliers Kleins. Where I work here in Canada we've called them Kleins for years as well. I wonder if they were the first company to come out with them?

What advice could you give someone 30 years old that wants to get in to the trades? or if its too late for me to even bother just be brutally honest. I just dont know where to even start and dont have anybody to ask. Any direction you could point me if any would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Why do you show so much Wera? Wera tools come from Taiwan and Czech Republic. Their clunky ratchets can't be maintained. The full metal ratchets have an immense amount of play. KC has much higher quality manufacturers

Maybe you copped some from a dodgy batch? I've used the Toolcheck Plus, 1/4" and 1/2" zyklop ratchets for several years in automotive work in a professional capacity and mine haven't skipped a beat

I've been using wera screwdrivers as an industrial mechanic for many years. They are made well and hold up to the abuse. I'll agree with you on the ratchets. They're unimpressive. Hazet and snap on are my go to ratchets.

I like them…. They’re versatile. I’m not going to use something just to show a different tool when it’s not what I actually use every day. I use wera every day and have for years. You can buy anything you want and there are channels that show other brands that you can watch. I’m authentic to what I like using and have no plans to change that fact. I’m not sponsored by wera, paid by them, or compensated in any way yet I’m still using them so that says a lot.
