This is a very classy theme. Along with the visuals in the generic open...lends stature and sophistication to the newscast. KCBS and KCAL always have the best theme music and imagery for the production. Its truly the main reason I watch Channel 2 and 9 for news!!!

KCAL and KCBS always have the best theme music. KTLA 5 is always good too!!! Incidentally...KABC 7, KTTV 11 always have the worst theme music...awful, worn-out(dated) theme music even sounds goofy...the music is so bad that it hurts the credbility of the entire newscast!!! I feel sorry for the talent/anchors /reporters at ABC7 and FOX11. You would think that Disney and Fox could afford to have more cutting edge musicc..
