The only good solution is considering only the syllabus question and giving ranking ex for maths 18 is out of syllabus they should assume 42 as total marks and decide the marks then i think there will not be any problems for any one ..

Re exam is a more fair option than grace marks. Why? Suppose two people, X and Y have both got 40 marks correctly in a certain subject out of total 60 marks. Assume that 10 questions are out of the syllabus. X has got 6 out of these 10 questions correct while Y has got only 3 out of the 10 questions correct. If the 10 questions are now considered as 'grace' questions, X marks will increase by only 4 while Y marks will increase by 7. So, final marks of X will be 44 while Y will be 47. Is this fair? You may say, why did X not attempt the ones in the syllabus rather than the ones out of syllabus. During the exam, nobody knows what will happen to the out of syllabus questions. People who know some basics in those chapter may have attempted it, and were hence not able to attempt the remaining questions due to time constraint. How is it their fault for knowing the entire syllabus?

I've attended out of syllabus questions from chemistry and made 6 questions right Which was not tricky but purely knowledge and sense based And i dont go to tutions But now if they opt to not consider those out of syllabus questions then i will lose 6 marks Which would make a huge impact in my rankings Now there should be a wise option rather than not considering those questions

Bro it's great that you have attended the questions which were out of syllabus, it really shows that you were prepared for deleted syllabus too and that's appreciable. But that's not the case for everyone, not everyone has prepared for deleted syllabus because it was strictly mentioned that the syllabus was deleted. It's human tendency to let go off topics that are not even required. So thinking on a larger scale I do agree that there has to be another way of deciding the rank than letting go of the questions.

They would have worked had day and night just to find questions which aren't even in the syllabus. Conclusively the entire blame has to be put up on the crippling education system of Karnataka.
