I got a 5 in English language the resits are in November will I be able to apply for EDMP still if I resit however I have to submit application by October.Also idk where to get the admission team email it doesn't let me send them an email

I have a a UCAT score of 2080, band 1 and ABB predicted. Do I stand a chance getting into the EMDP?

I would say you have 'a' chance, albeit quite a low chance, but not impossible. The lowest UCAT score that's been accepted that I've seen is 2060. Having higher predicted grades would've also helped increase those chances. The last thing that I would say can help is how good your GCSEs are - if you had 5/5 grade 7s and above that will help your chances, as well as having as many 8s and 9s. So overall it might still be risky applying, but if your GCSEs are good then it can nudge your chances up. I would also add as well King's EMDP may be the only medical school option viable with those entry stats.

Hi ! Thank you sm this was very helpful. I am predicted A*AA but only got 2410 in my ucat so was unsure which to apply to but now I have watched this I think EDMP is the safer choice because of my ucat. Would the fact that my predicted grades qualify for the standard course put me at any disadvantage applying to the EMDP ?

Hey, glad the video helped! Nope it shouldn’t, even if you’re applying to EMDP the higher predicted grades the better. So even if someone qualifies for the standard course and had A*A*A*A* they aren’t in any way disasvantaged applying to EMDP, in fact it makes your application even more competitive :)

@@Trickseyy because the course is designed for students at a sociological or academic disadvantage and there a a limited amount of places compared to the standard program so I didn’t know if they prioritised those who were closer to ABB

Nope, as you will have gotten into the course you initially applied to (EMDP is A101) since they are separate courses (standard is A100)
