So true story: I've been watching this nonstop for a month now and I still can't get enough. That time I stumbled upon the full KCON Australia show Mnet had on their website and was legit excited because I wanted to watch the Wanna One performance 😂 I had been obsessed with those boys since Produce 101. I pressed play on the hour-long video and about 6 minutes in, *this* Pentagon performance came and blew my mind. I honestly couldn't finish the show after that cause I had to look these boys up immediately. And then I realized why Hui was so familiar. I'd already seen him in PD101 for the Never episode--which, (surprise surprise!), is my favorite song from that entire show. I felt like I was a Universe all my life without knowing it, or in less melodramatic terms, it was just inevitable for me to become a Pentagon fan. There was no escaping it. *Like This* and this stage especially spoke to me. The way their voices sound together, and one after the other, the music and lyrics, the way the song came alive in this big stadium performance (seriously the recording doesn't compare), the EMOTION that they all somehow convey perfectly. Everything from Kino's first step to Hui's last note= perfection. It all hit me hard, really. It's a shame this song hadn't reached and touched a gazillion people when it first came out. It should have. Though the beauty of technology now is that there will always be new listeners to gain and new discoveries to make everyday. So I'm pretty sure Pentagon will get the recognition and credit they deserve soon. In the meantime I will always pour my heart out and gush about them, hype them up, and support them as best I can. They're so unbelievably good. Just. Wow.
