When I was a kid back in Dayton Ohio, the city police were out passing out suckers to kids out trigger treating,, I remember that now nearly 60 years later, but this devolved a sence of community, it also earned respect for the police. Your out keeping an eye on things and being involved with the negiborhoods, doesn't matter what part of town if you've got time do it, it builds life long bonds.
