To be honest I was once a cheater... I used mods and stuff to get trophy’s but I always felt bad about it...I stopped cheating a year ago, deleted the lodge etc and now am a true player on a fresh, new account. And any of you who think it is a good idea to cheat it’s not, it will ruin the fun I the game for you and many others. I feel awful and am sorry to all in the cotw community.

Dang dude I remember watching that part of the stream. It really sucks seeing lodges with hacked/traded animals because it takes away from the legitimacy of other Xbox lodges that have crazy trophies people worked hard to get. Maybe watch the video before commenting on it? 34 minute video and it's been up for 5 minutes. We are not looking at the hacked trophy lodge with any kind of affection, and I make it very clear that I am disappointed in the lodge itself and the hacked trophies. In all the multiplayer trophy lodge tour videos I've made, this is the first time I have included a lodge with hacked trophies in any of them. In this case, I decided it might be helpful to show my distaste in cheating, especially with it now being so rampant in the game. I have been a harsh advocate against cheating and modding in this game for years. I suggest watching videos before commenting on them.

I don’t get why people hack/cheat. There’s no point. There’s no value to trophies if you just spawn them in. hard disagree. i think there is no value to grinding water holes. its dumb and boring. why do people cheat? because the spawning system in this game is hot rubbish. rare and big game should spawn randomly, not depending on how sweaty you are. there is no challenge to shooting down big game at waterholes. zero. you dont need to be good at the game. you dont need to be good at sneaking up and spotting. you dont need to be good at shooting. its the same shots at the same ranges without any risk over and over and over. you want people to stop cheating? then ask the devs to fix the stupid spawning system.

@@pnwfisher2144 its true tho. the spawning system is hot rubbish. if you see a stacked trophy lodge its either a cheater or someone that spent forever grinding the same need zones over and over. this completely removes most of the gameplay elements and skill and replaces it with running from tripod to tripod, tent abusing and shooting the same shots over and over and over. the chances of seeing top level game by organically playing the game are super crappy. dont get me wrong. love the game. but the spawning system is trash and needs a rework badly. high level game should be random. you should run into them in unexpected places and at unexpected times. and you should properly interact with their mechanics. spend the time sneaking up on them and tracking them. dealing with their superior perception. not waking up in a tent, walking 3 steps to a tripod and then shooting it over a lake.

Once upon a time I googled to find the treasure in RDR2.... and deleted the game as soon as I found it. Because the atmosphere is gone. COTW is the great (fabled) atmosphere about. There wasn't even the slightest thought to ruin it.

This is not hacking kc, on Xbox you can leave the game on multiplayer and get invited back and when you shoot it it stays on your map so people trade these trophies back and fourth to eachother so most of the animals this person didn’t even find they was just given it, the piebald great one has been killed a lot by traders on Xbox unfortunately

I use the words "cheating" and "hacking" pretty interchangeably and I consider trading in this game to be cheating. When I go live to do the multiplayer lodge tours and people put up lodges full of cheated trophies, hoping that myself and my viewers will think they are legit, I consider that cheating. I realize there may be people who don't agree with me on this, and it's not my intention to change anyone's mind, but from what I've seen most people in the community see that as cheating.

So curious - why do people care about hackers in this game? It's a 100% single player game, there's not a PvP aspect at all. Now if you were hosting a 3rd party tournament or event alright I can see why people dislike the hacking. But this game is 100% personal preference, someone else's hunting hacked or not plays zero factor on your personal gaming experience. I don't hack - but I host online lobbies a lot, and when someone is in there hacking I could care less, it doesn't effect me at all unless they come by and spook an animal I'm hunting. But more often than not hackers don't do that. Dumb people don't get mad at me this isn't an endorsement for hacking, I just genuinely don't see why anyone would care. Is there an aspect of this game my 2.7 thousand hours has missed that is effected by hacking? Or is it simply people don't like hacking because it's not "pure", which again - who cares lol?

People trade trophies and duplicate them in multiplayer. I’ve been in lodges with 10x the amount of trophies as the one in the video and they share the same dates and are the exact same trophy, same score and date. People just go around doing that it’s really sad. Some people even sell them 😐

You most certainly can the level cap is 60 so if you see someone in a multiplayer server level is above 60 they are more than likely hacking the game

I busted a kid the other day who shared a clip of him apparently "sneaking" up behind a Great one. He was less than a hundred yards from it, then he got up ran around in a circle and jumped a few times. I commented that he was using the invisibility glitch, and he should let people know to avoid disillusionment. But he tried to claim it was because he had over 1600 hours and I didn't know how to play. So naturally, it was on. Long story short he tried to argue,then tried to yell, (HE WENT FILL CAPS.) And in the end it was the fact that he recorded himself jumping around that killed his fight. Squirrel, if you're reading this, all you had to do was realize you were busted. I would have let it go until you tried to insult me on top of lying to me. We all use glitches, but trying to play it as anything but is just lying. Choot'Um.

there’s no specific number to stack to, just go until you don’t have any 6, 7, or 8s on your map. The whole point of stacking is so you can push the average score on your map as low as possible. once you feel comfortable with the amount of 2 - 4s you’re seeing on your map, then you can shoot your 9s and start the proper grind

Apparently, you can cheat on Xbox. It absolutely sucks that people can. All I know is I’m sure it’s a longer harder process. Just makes me sick that people would cheat in a game that isn’t very hard. Even in hard games you should earn it.
