Another good middle ground would be to go for the 11" iPad Air or iPad Pro

literally me, I returned my Magic Keyboard that I used with my Air 5, bought the MacBook Air M1 and now I'm happier than before. sure I have those minor moments where I feel my MacBook is still bigger and still a little heavy to carry, so those moments I feel I might need my Magic Keyboard again but it's rare, still prefer my MacBook since it can go against any difficult task I throw at it.

I did the same thing this summer. Love the Ipad Mini. Welcome to the mini club.

Just upgraded from the 2019 5th Gen iPad Mini to the new one. It’s the size that works for me - anything bigger would spend its life in a drawer - and really complements my Product Red iPhone 13 Mini. Thanks for the content.

How do you like the 7 vs the 5? Was it worth the upgrade?

Girl I did the same!! Never been happier

I always gotten the iPad Air ever since it was dropped back in the day . I end up getting the mini after I broke my air 4th gen. The day the mini dropped I purchased it . I traveled with this new mini and let me tell you something . I love it ! I recommend to my friend and family and they agree with me .

There’s also the 11 inch iPad Pro model. The perfect size

In my opinion, nothing beats the mini! 😁

Cellular on my iPad was very freeing for me. First off, my hotspot is limited data and me iPad is unlimited. So as a photographer, when I’m transferring large files and editing on the go, it just works so well. Also, the 11 inch is the sweet spot size for me. Especially with the lighter weight of this year’s model.

I didn't think about hotspots having limited dats, good point!

Hi from NZ! Been looking for a video like this, thanks. Have an iPad Air and even find that too big/heavy. Definitely want to upgrade from our old mini 4 👍🏻

Literally people are realizing all they need is an iPad mini with iPad OS's limitations, I tried using my iPad Air 5 with the Magic Keyboard for the longest and sure it did a lot of the things I needed it to do however, there were moments that my iPad struggled and it generally made me see it as a BIG Oversized iPhone when it did. Eventually I caved in, returned my Magic Keyboard, bought the MacBook Air M1 and now I'm happier than before. sure I have those minor moments where I feel my MacBook is still bigger and still a little heavy to carry, so those moments I feel I might need my Magic Keyboard again but it's rare, and when it think about it twice, I'd still prefer my MacBook because it can run anything difficult I can throw at it..

I say that ALL THE TIME about cellular iPads. I'm sure there are some use cases but in general, almost everyone will have their phone with them and iPad's connect to an iPhone's hotspot so easily. I know phone plans differ but I can't imagine one where a second line is cheaper than having the ability to create a WiFi hotspot.

I came to the same conclusion, the 13" iPad is too big. I found my perfect size in the M4 11" iPad Pro. Compliments my 16" MBP very nicely.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing because I used use my pro a lot because my MacBook at the time was old and I would edit my vids on the iPad Pro. I upgraded my MacBook Pro earlier this year and now I don't use my iPad Pro 12.9 as much. I'm shopping around for a mini. BUT being able to use the iPad Pro 12.9 as a second monitor for your MacBook Pro got me second guessing it

Why did you choose GoodNotes over Apple Notes? The notebook layout it uses?
@lifeandnumbers2 күн бұрын
I like actually use both. I use Apple Notes on my phone and think it more like a digital sticky note. But if I need to write more long form content, that's when I'll use GoodNotes on my iPad.

I know right… I won a mini last year at my company Christmas Party so I use it by spells… or my grandson uses it to watch movies.

I traded in my 2020 12.9 iPad Pro for the mini and it was such a good decision. I use my mini so much more than I did the pro.

Artists can get away with the mini too, tbh. It's powerful enough to run procreate.

A good sleeve for your Mac should hold your iPad. Or a nice sleeve for the pad
@bionichustla10011 күн бұрын
You should have gotten the 11” iPad Pro. So the Mac and pad was “competing”. If that makes sense (Just like how the mini seems “fun” to you. They can also work together in office setup. I have Logic Pro and protocols on my m4pro MacBook Pro. And use my m4 iPad Pro more portable but just pad stuff.

Are you editing on your iPad Mini? Your videos for YT? I don’t understand how you or any creative can use ONLY an iPad mini… I have an M3 Max & the M4 iPad Pro - and I LOVE the Mini - but it’s only good for consumption of media, trying to draw or use for design -even editing stills, forget the motion - the UI’s too small - and without a Mac, you have so many limitations with I/O - from storage (external) to mics/headphones, Ethernet, SD card readers, USB-A and C, etc - which is doable on my M4 iPad Pro via it’s supposed Thunderbolt 3, but my M3 Max literally exports and writes to the drive (externally) over 10x faster! Again I love the Mini, but other than for playing games, it’s speakers are bad in comaparison with the iPP, the storage options are silly, as well as RAM, and the insane restrictions between the two - Adobe Cretive suite is not the same, and the file system, ability to recover bad drives, heal them, know when you when you can pull the drive and not corrupt it, direct line to high speed internet wired, I’ve tried, and failed - but I have a different need than most’

I actually do all my editing on my 2020 16in MacBook Pro! I haven’t tried editing on the mini yet, but I would assume it’d be too small to do a lot of serious editing.
@callmeNeno10 күн бұрын
Definitely redundant to have an iPad Pro and MacBook. The MacBook’ operating system is just more complete for productivity serious stuff. I have MacBook Air and recently purchased the iPad mini 7 for its form factor and being more portable .

You should not label it as telling someone else to get something that they may not want or can't use. You don't like the iPad pro 13. That's your desire. Someone else might need the bigger iPad. So just say you can use the iPad mini better than the pro for you. Not for anyone else. Please don't try to make someone else choose something that they have already set their minds on. That's not right. You have your opinions and others have their own opinions.
