The Sonnect SoundWire is a professional DAC to XLR cable interface, running with 192 kHz, 32-bit audio from playback from your computer directly to the mixing console, with just one connection and nothing else in between.
The DAC in the SoundWire delivers pristine 192 kHz, 32-bit audio. No drivers needed; simply plug it into your laptop, smartphone or tablet and select ‘SoundWire’ as audio device. It also has custom-designed transformers housed in the XLR connectors balance the signal, eliminating the need for DI boxes and protecting your playback device from accidental 48V activation.
Because of how simple it is, I replaced my DI interface for my computer playback system with this. Check it out: sonnect.com/product/soundwire/

The Klark Teknik AIR LINK DW 20R has been my solution for these kinds of things. Uses Bluetooth, has been rock solid for me, handling audio from a phone, iPad, or laptop AND it gives me ¼ inch or XLR output - great unit and solid usability. $90 new. Never been a fan of using headphone output, nor any of the ⅛ cables or adapters.

Timely advice... TY! I never thought about the phantom power reality. I really appreciate it. Definitely expensive! I bought one hoping for the best. Thanks again

Excellent description & demo. I am doing a different work around for corporate work on my Wing through USB. I am able to simultaneously route inserts for Waves Superrack Performer, ins & outs for Smaart, and outputs from Media Monkey all through USB, therefore, no D to A and A to D conversions. Alternatively, you could have multiple audio cues assigned to Reaper and route those through USB as well. Keep up the good work!

It makes sense but little expensive for its purpose. I use Wing but I would rather go for interface with multiple inputs (4 in /4 outs) for same price.

Interesting. I use an audio interface (a Motu M2) to output from my computer to the sound board since I already need it to bring audio into my computer.

It's nice that it's compact and all in one, but not nice enough for the price tag. I'll take a Peavey USB P (an option I feel is glaringly omitted here) any day. It also bypasses the sound card, and only requires a USB cable and XLR cables. No drivers, rock solid, and at the highest price I've seen them hit was still only about half this.

Would you recommend this over Bluetooth/XLR?

Yes, don’t rely on Bluetooth during production. Hardware is always your best friend.

Why wouldn’t you just use the usb card?

Or change midi settings on a Mac to allow playback audio independent of the multitrack recording.

It is a great looking product, but it costs double what it should. I love Sonnect's products, but this price point is silly.

Great idea but the price is too high. Give it 3 months or less and one of those Amazon cable manufacturers will create their own for a fraction of the price.

They already have them. I picked the Sonnet and the knock off. They both get the job done. The knock off was $25. 00.

I use 1/8th inch to two 1/4 inch into aux in's. 5 bucks. Done. Also didn't mention USB to USB into the card...? I use that too. Again, 5 bucks and done. I never would even own an 1/8th inch to two XLR.... That's a disaster waiting to happen!

Not all desks have 1/4inch aux’s. And some desks don’t have usb in. So this product does have a place, it’s just a expensive place

It's understandable that Drew's recent review of the product may not have been the best fit for his KZbin channel. However, it's great to see that the product is designed to cater to the needs of individuals who rely on it for their livelihood. Perhaps, Drew can consider exploring other products that align more closely with his channel's focus. It's always a learning experience, and we wish him all the best.

Both with your wallet. Never pay this much for a Y cable. It’s a total ripoff. Just like the sound bullet. Way too much money.

Good looking product but too expensive. I can buy a stereo DI and maybe cables for the same price and using it for different purposes if needed. Or just buy 10X ⅛ to ¼ jack

Any weight I can save from eliminating the DI for fly dates versus my Radial USB DI s worth it. Especially considering the 32bit, 192khz conversion rate
