I love so much your reaction of Hua HUa. Background story of the original singer, Leslie Cheung,who is a multi award international star (actor, singer, songwriter). Leslie faces many issues with the media as he is a half-closeted gay actor from Hong Kong . He has played many romantic roles but the papparazzi gets to him. After acting his last movie in a psychotic suicidal character, He commited suicide on April Fool's Day 2003 by jumping off a hotel building.. He is such a well-loved person, known for his sensitivity, warm and sweet personality and friendships with world famous stars.The whole of Hong Kong and Asia countries mourned his passing. Hua once said that he admire Leslie for all his great works, as he is a pure artist with a great heart. He will sing this song once a year just to remind people of Leslie Cheung. Hua considers this song "perfect" on its own, hence he will perform it exactly as how Leslie sings it. No re-arrangement was ever made to this song. This song represented Leslie Cheung's life story. This song is also meaningful to Martians as this is the very first Chinese song he sang on stage during his Superboy 2013 competition. This is Hua Hua's favorite song from his idol, Mr. Leslie Cheung who has passed away in year 2003. He did not rearrange this song, he is paying tribute to his idol. Very touching song! This song makes me teary-eyed every time I listen to it. I think he is also projecting his own loneliness and the pain of not being accepted by the outside world for a long time in the song. The lyrics about the rose coming to fruition in a lonely desert very much describes him as a lonely child lost in a desert (similar to the story of Little Prince) too. He is just so amazing when he enters a spiritual state and is able to deliver such an emotional song like that! Whenever he sings emotional songs like this, he always moves me in such a deep way. As many mentioned, this is Hua Huas favorite chinese song sung by his idol Leslie cheung. When he covers songs, he always rearrange the song by making it his own but most of all what he does, he strengthen the songs core, making the song the most it can be. Making them perfect. When it comes to songs by Leslie, he never do that, he find his songs to be perfect as they already are, so he only add slight changes. Paying tribut to his idol by making us either remember the songs or presenting us to the songs. It is a very nice way to keeping his music alive. Which is kind of unusual in that show, since it is a show were they made the most of the songs, to win the round. And it adds to what makes him so special. He don't do things to win, only to challange himself. Which we can clearly see when it comes to the show, the singer. We know that he could have done so much to win that show, but so many of his choices showed that that was not his goal at all. He doesn't care what others think, we can always count on him being true to music and his own standards. That also meaning, he wont do anything, just because others wants him to. The times that has happend, he or his fans hasn't been happy about it. And it has clearly showed a lack of respect towards him as an artist. And I want to point out a fun fact. Originally singer is Leslie Cheong. He released this song to declare that he is a gay. That's why rhe lyrics said that he is the fireworks with different colors and in actual, he jumped off a building committing suicide while he was only 40+. We love you, Leslie 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Really enjoy yall's reaction to Hua's performances. Hua generally has a specific reason for the wardrobe choice, it's to help the essence of the songs or mood. This he slightly rearranged because of his respect for the original singer that died. He performed in a housecoat hence, Hua is replicating it. It's his favorite Chinese song and Idol and only sings it once a year at concerts. He gets very emotional each time he sings it. Also, this song I imagine he relates to himself, because he knows he's different from most, and again sending a message to accept yourself as you are and people should respect every person's individuality. Highly recommend “Flammable and Explosive”. It used to be a pop song but Huahua rearrange it like a opera song in a TV show, The Next, which require singers to rearrange a song for 24 hours. The writer of its lyrics died last year when the Singer was filming. His friend contacted Huahua and told him that Huahua’s version of “ Flammable and Explosive” was that writer’s favorite. So Huahua decided to sing this song again in The Singer in the memory of the writer. This time, His emotion and expression makes this song is more like a elegy than a song of its original meaning.
