i think the effects with square is video effects and the effects with circle is audio effects

It looks that effects can only work on a full length on a clip? It's very sad that we can set their time as with Fade In / Fade Out.

No, some of the effects are for the whole clip, and others are keyframable. For example Gain and Volume (keyframable).

Beside your “effects” tab is transitions. Mine has compositions instead. Can I fix that?

Yes, if you left click and hold on a tab, it should let you move it to its own window, or as a tab of a different window.

I see... I don't have Kdenlive in front of me right now, but I want to say the way to make transitions appear is along the top bar, under View > Transitions...

Please help. When I place the mouse on the tag/ icon in order to see the small information window, the widow appears but it is blank, that is, no information is given in the window. I've deleted the Kdenlive program from my Linux Mint OS, and re-installed it again, but I get the same results.

Good question. I like to use pixabay.com . In the search bar, you can change the drop down from 'Images' to 'Videos'.

Update to the latest version 24 and try again. I did not have this problem when I was using older versions.

click on view in the top left and itll show you whats visible, i ended up deleting my project bin and i had to figure this out too

Make sure Menu/View/Effects is checked. If it is already, it might be docked to one of the other windows.

In version 24, in the upper right hand corner, click on Editing. The 5 default layouts are listed there.

I find KDEnLive kinda stuttery and slow, im using : Operating System: Kubuntu 20.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0 Qt Version: 5.12.8 Kernel Version: 5.4.0-40-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 8 × AMD Ryzen 5 2400G with Radeon Vega Graphics Memory: 14.7 GiB of RAM Is my system too under powered?

No. You might try using Proxy clips, and have the Project Monitor settings set to 720 p. Used to have similar setup but moved to 32 GB. Also, I've set Kdenlive to use the 16 available threads on my CPU.
