Thank you so much for doing a video on this topic! I couldn't find any other videos that specifically addressed audio normalization in KDEnlive. At first I thought the feature wasn't working. As it turned out, the original audio file was so loud that the limits of KDEnlive's audio normalization weren't big enough to compensate. I had to process the audio in Audacity to bring the gain down low enough. So that's something users should be aware of. KDEnlive can only adjust the audio so much.

Hi! Thanks for doing this topic. Most people forget about audio processing. Do you have any hint on how to expand this a little more? Like for instance on Audition/Premiere Pro there is a lufs meter and there´s the Youlean VST plugin to analyze, too but as there´s no vst support in Kdenlive you can´t use it. I also would like to have an indicator (again, like in formerly mentioned software) if there is audio clipping happening. There are these little white pipes on the volume bars(?) but the fluctuate and do not stay at the highest value which would help for this purpose, too.

When I use normalization, every audio clip I use it on jumps up in volume and becomes a blurr murmur for the beginning of it, for about 2 seconds. Applying it to the whole track does the same for every clip. Adjusting the measurement window has no effect. What causes this and is there a fix?
