Wait...How do you make the video appears in the title clip screen background? I'm always struggling editing title clips over a black screen! Having the backgound visible would help me a lot while editing titles! I've tried every button on screen to make it appears, but nothing seems to work here. 🤔

I've been figuring out Kdenlive since Vegas won't work on my computer so these tutorials are really useful. (P.S. How would you go about adding a swirl effect to a video? There's no built in effect in Kdenlive so would you edit the clip frame by frame in GIMP or use some other editor?)
@Arkengheist203 жыл бұрын
Honestly I would probably do without a distort the frame in some other way ^^ (effects: distort, wave, lens correction, fisheye). But if i reamly needed a switl, i guess extract 20 or so frames with ffmpeg, and then apply increasing swirls with gimp yup
@alistairgeorge50823 жыл бұрын
@@Arkengheist20 Why use FFMpeg? Couldn't you export part of the clip as a GIF file from Kdenlive and then import it into GIMP?
@alistairgeorge50823 жыл бұрын
@@Arkengheist20 Also I heard the people behind Kdenlive are gonna incorporate G'MIC filters into the program (G'MIC has a swirl effect fyi). How does this news sound to you, out of curiosity? I'm personally excited for it!

Quick question? how do i stop the rotoscope from panning with transform.
@loque21112 жыл бұрын
Hello! When i drag the rotoscoping in the title, that’s not show me the “click on the points” menu on the video. I clicked everywhere, and just do nothing. Why?

This is a very good tutorial, though even after i updated kdenlive, im still not able to put my text onto my video. In another tutorial i watched, they said to check the show background button to see it so its not the checkered background. Each time i've tried though, its all black. i've seen other people having this issue and i haven't seen anyone figure it out. Have you had this problem and/or do you know how to fix it? thanks!
@Arkengheist203 жыл бұрын
Are you on windows ? There's a known issue with the vackground in the title clip window. It's alwaus black and you can't see your video. But never the less, whatever you use, you need to add the title clip you made to your timeline so that you see it in your project. You can just drag/drop it where you'd like

Ok my question is how the heck do you get smooth playback??? If I add even one effect it stutters like crazy, but play fine with just the video. (Running on an intel i5-4690K, GTX970, 16GB DDR3 in 2x8GB configuration, with Pop!_OS 20.10 Linux using KDE Plasma)
@Arkengheist203 жыл бұрын
umm i don't really know how to help cause i'm not an expert on this side of things, but you can lower the playback resolution or preview render the effect heavy part

you explained 2 problems i had in this video s thank you but one fault if i had to pick one is that you need to dumb it down a little, you were not explaining all methods clearly. people that are use to this its quick and easy but anyone thats new this has to be rewatched several times to understand.
