How to Install and Use Custom Fonts on the iPad!

Is your iPad updated to iOS 14? Fonts can stilled be installed on the iPad and used in the same Apple apps as before. How third-party apps access custom fonts has changed with the new update. Not all third-party apps have released updates to fix their own issues with custom fonts (GoodNotes, as of Sep 22)-- some have (Noteshelf, for example)! :)

Awesome! If you download fonts as profiles on the iPads, you'll be able to access that font in more places than just Procreate, which is why I show this method.

Brilliant video, THANK YOU!! I was having no end of trouble trying to get Powerpoint for iPad to open a presentation and allow me to edit, but I eventually figured out it was because I didn't have the requisite Microsoft fonts installed on my iPad (even though they work fine on my Mac). I followed your video to install the right fonts on my iPad (sourced from a Windows work PC), and viola, all works perfectly now. Very grateful :)

Yes you can! I generally keep mine because if you switch/upgrade devices, you'll have to repeat the process. For some reason, the backup doesn't save downloaded fonts like that. If you have favorite fonts you want to keep for future use, I'd recommend saving them!

Not sure about emails, but the fonts can be used in traditional Apple apps. I mainly use the fonts in Keynote and the downloaded apps like GoodNotes.
