A friend of mine got me the Nakia artist exclusive Funko (including hardstack) for $5USD at Five Below. It really sucks that we don’t get any good deals on Funko here. Like.. thank god for Popcultcha, because there’s so many exclusives we never get here otherwise. I do a fairly regular Popcultcha order for collectors in Calgary just to get exclusives that are ridiculously easy to get in the US. For example - I’ve never seen the Party Thor (What If?) (Walmart Exclusive) here. Not on FB sales groups, in stores, nothing. I checked ebay on a whim and found one for $7.99 USD (plus shipping). Like… what the hell?

Great video guys! Funko has rereleased a couple of older pops recently. The OG one piece waves are a good example. Luckily for those the date on the box changed so you can tell which ones are truly OG. That has allowed the value to be retained, in some cases even making them higher grail status. Hopefully this can continue so people who have the originals can keep the value. Regardless, Funko needs to be true to their word about vaulted status.

I love the Ted Lasso line but they are all the same size and it’s insane that Target Exclusive sticker Jamie Tartt is $14.99 retail but the other characters are $11.99 lol. How are they a three dollar difference. Another great episode Boyz. Keep up the great work.

I don't understand why they can't give their own Europe (and other countries which have a website and stores), the same items 🤯. It drives me mad like yourselves, that they don't know whether they are coming or going. "Let's stock every USA store possible but not our own international ones". I cant even imagine how hard it is for you guys to try to stay a float with a shop not in the states. 🤔🤯

The General Grevious Walgreens restock is absolutely ridiculous. It’s a reprint. They restocked it internationally with the SE sticker, and now again with the Walgreens sticker, NOT EVEN AVAILABLE THROUGH WALGREENS!! We’re now going to have 3 General Grevious variations. The OG, the more yellow, 4 lightsaber one from Hot Topic and a battle damaged one is coming. To devalue your products so much pisses me off as a collector. Thank goodness I never bought one, now I can just try to trade for one 😅

Beyond the OG Avengers build a sceen i never understood them. It's way too much of a commitment for most collectors. If they wanted to do Civil War, make it a Pop moment. We can only hope that Pops in Five Below amd such is still trying to make up for past mistakes. What are your thoughts on making new Pops of 300 or SW Rebels characters where the originals are grails. Like getting a new Thrawn or Leonidas.

Mixed feelings! I missed out on that Leonidas and love that movie so it’s an opportunity to own a pop now but it’s not fair to OG pop owners, only if value dips. If the OG Value holds up then everyone is a winner. I guess we’ll see! Thanks for watching, Cheers!

Tj maxx is not a normal store it’s a store that buys liquidation then sells it at a low cost to consumers. Hence why they got those posters at such a low cost, Ross and Burlington Coat Factory also do the same thing. At the end of the day Funko is making too much and not knowing where to start from hopefully by next year they figure it out other wise people will just quit collecting altogether

way too much stuff on clearance. Funko keeps announcing so much stuff each week. I know some of it is in the pipeline but you could still put them out but space out more and cut back on future items. Does there need to be 30 new pops every week? NO. Can you spread out those 30 pops over a month fans would still be happy.

there was an unreleased ninja turtle that was spotted at burlington coat factory stores early this year/late last year (very similar store to TJ MAXX) maybe some day some metallic charizards will show up in these stores

Five Below hasn't been $5 or less in years. Their pops are $5.95 and I was under the impression they were garbage/clearance pops Funko can't get rid of. I could be wrong, but i have yet to find something decent. Five Below's prices go up to $25 or $30, especially around Christmas.

Pop figures are like Beenie Babies. If you want to collect them because they're cute and fun to collect, that's cool. But I had no idea people were still trying to collect them for profit 😂

People collect because they love them...and like anything people might collect, you would want the investment in your collection to hold value.

@@KDogAndFish ideally, yes. But as with Beenie Babies, pop figures aren't the best investment. Unless you get a super, super rare one like the one that sold for hundreds of thousands. But that is a rare case. I guess the value in collecting Beenie Babies and pop figures is the value you as the collector ascribes to it. Like I said, if people enjoy collecting them, there's no reason to stop. I'm not knocking it. Just saying, if someone is doing it as a means of turning a profit, as with Beenie Babies, I'm afraid it's a lost cause.

It’s all good, we can agree to disagree on this… There are flippers and “profiteers” like in any collectible community but that’s not what the true Funko fan is about…and no true collector, who does this because of the love and nostalgia for the pop culture figures they are collecting would ever compare them to beanie babies. 😎 thanks for your comments and for watching the show

@K-Dog & Fish, It disappoints me when I hear people describe something that’s “Vaulted” like it’s been deleted from the Earth, or gone extinct. If somethings in a vault, that means it is locked away. No one put something in a vault that they intend to leave there until long after they’re dead. A vault can be opened any time because of the key. remember all those movies that Disney vaulted? There’s your answer. Stop saying vaulted as if there’s a magic reason they can’t make any more.

That's why you should buy them for investment. One of my coworker husband is banking on pops to help with his retirement plans. He has over 700 pops. I only have about 20 . I strongly believe that they will be the next beanie baby's.

Getting crazy rewinds are already in target , pops in marshalls burlington coat factory and amazon slashing prices on pops almost weekly alot of resale prices in the tank guess its gona get worse before it gets better 🙏
