My question maybe goes a bit deeper...If i create, say 5 pen names for KDP...but I already have a Branded company, with a website and social media page....how can I seperate those niches on the same website or social media page. Or do you suggest having separate social media pages for each pen name?

Welcome, I am so glad you are here! This is a great question. If you already have a branded company that you want to publish for then I would create a business KDP that ties to that business. If you want to keep it all under one KDP account and use different pen names for the niches you could also do that. As far as website and socials I would figure out which niche/pen name is worth promoting this way because social media for 5 different niches will be extremely time consuming. I would not group all the niches together unless all the niches would target a similar customer. I hope that makes sense. If not, let me know :)

Def agree about having more than 1 pen name. I'm creating in a very specific journal niche right now, but want to branch out into coloring books, activity books, etc. So I'll be creating a different name for them. What are your thoughts about just creating another regular human name like - Jenny Jones (just an example) and not adding "Publishing" or anything else to it?

You can definitely do that and I know people that actually use that tactic. You just want to really make sure that it is not already used and I would not use a common name so someone that had that as an actual name later couldn't come on and try to publish under it as well. The people that I know use this come up with more original, if you will, names to use.

Would never use a name of a celebrity, unless that is your own name. KDP probably will ban you for it as misleading. Do not mess around in gray areas with KDP, because it is ban and not ask questions generally.

Can you please explain how you go about creating more than one author central page? I’ve been trying recently, but could only do the first one and I’m stuck. Thank you!

Great question! You add the asin as if you were going to add it to your existing author central and it will come up with a message asking you to verify that those books are really yours. Then it has to be reviewed and once that goes through the little drop down arrow in the top right corner will show your new author central page as an option. Don't add any other books to it until it is approved and you can't put books on a different author central if they have already been assigned to an author name. I hope that makes sense and helps :)

I have tons of Pen Names, Use a different one for each niche. They are a lot more strict on pen names the past year. Try Rebekah's Coloring Books Publishing. Will be declined. Rebekah's Coloring Books, probably rejected. Rebekah's Activity's probably approved. To many words that are not an actual business name (but trying to make it look like a business name) and or to many words like Publishing Company after a name, probably declined.

I love using pen names. I have used words like Publishing in several of mine and have not had any issue. I also made sure not to put keywords that would be searched in the names.

You can if you want. I haven't heard or seen anything happening to your books if you don't use a real name. I think it just depends on how you want to attract your customers, similarly to coming up with a business name.
