Him being Asian has nothing to do with his win. It’s well deserved as it was of the same caliber as other great performances. Ke and his brother were in my Tae Kwon Doe class as a kid and he starred in a low budget kung fu film my dad produced called Breathing Fire. This is totally sudden and awesome seeing him win this award and a great timewarp down memory lane.

Your dad produced Breathing Fire?!? Please thank and commend him genuinely on my behalf for the film. To me it didn't seem like a low budget film at all, was as good as any other 80s-early 90s martial art flick and had Bolo Yeung and Jerry Trimble. Was one of my personal favs.
