He was so freaking amazing in Everything Everywhere All At Once. Really the emotional core of the film and some phenomenal acting in what is by far my favorite movie of the year (so freaking imaginative). The fact that he had this moment with Spielberg in the audience made it so touching

Ke and his brother were in my Tae Kwon Doe class as a kid and he starred in a low budget kung fu film my dad produced called Breathing Fire. This is totally sudden and awesome seeing him win this award and a great timewarp down memory lane.
@notofuspeed2 жыл бұрын
Your dad produced Breathing Fire?!? Please thank and commend him genuinely on my behalf for the film. To me it didn't seem like a low budget film at all, was as good as any other 80s-early 90s martial art flick and had Bolo Yeung and Jerry Trimble. Was one of my personal favs.

Faith in humanity had dipped considerably...it's been an exceptionally awful week...then I saw this, and felt a little better about our chances as a species. I imagine many of my fellow commenters felt the same way.
