You should listen to the demos with Dominic singing from before 2000. Way before Hopes and Fears, and sounds nothing like it. Keane is NOT Hopes and Fears. They are quite more diverse than that. And Under the Iron Sea was epic. Besides, there are tons of B sides and unreleased songs that sound like they belong on Hopes and Fears. Just search here on KZbin.

People don't forget it's just a demo and demos usually sound like shit. I think they could have transformed it into a beautiful song, with piano and Tom's voice. I for one find the backing vocals kind of mesmerizing.

Sort of. I mean, yes, but it wasn't nearly as good, though it was fantastic. It did also just have a different feel. It was happier, for one. I don't know, I just miss H&F music, nothing, even that Keane does, will ever compare.

Good song, but Tim's bland vocals kind of ruin it for me. If there was a version with Tom singing it, it would be much better.
