And to add to that his healing factor keeps him healthy to be able to live longer than most mutants my understanding he lived to be over 100 years old before he died from the metal that was deceiptfully grafted to his skeleton by william striker. But he lived thru out all the wars gaining more combat experience then most mutants.

I've enjoyed wolverine of xmen for years he has more like this animal enhanced power which includes feral senses, super human strength , and very powerful resistance to disease which was caused from being sick many times in his early years to the point that his immune system became nearly impeccable, Until the movie logan came out where theoretically his adamantium metal started to corrode into a poison that ate away at his body faster than he could heal. So in other words his damnation became his salvation and vise versa.
