I met Keanu about 16 years ago at the premier of the Matrix movie in NYC. I worked at the movie theater as a cleaner and server. The entire night, I saw all the stars in the movie come and go without any of them looking at me or saying hello to me, perhaps because of my color and the cheap uniform I had on. For 16 years, I have never forgotten the event that will follow the first few hours after I begun my shift at work that evening. Keanu walked up to me and asked me how I was doing!! I said to myself "are you really talking to me?" Believe it or not, he actually came up to me and showed compassion and care. That was the last thing I ever expected anyone to do that evening. He proceed to ask me about my job and where I come from. And I told him I was from Ghana and have been working at the theater for about a year. He chatted with me for about 5 mins but it felt like forever. He then gave me a hug I will never forget. He is truly a good human being. I don't usually leave comments on YT but this is to confirm this video. Keanu is good.

I had the chance to meet Keanu here in New Orleans during the summer of '95. He was touring with his band Dogstar and my then girlfriend and I (along with a few other friends) went to the show at a small club. Somehow, she and another girl in our group were able to get us backstage after the show and we spent a good 30 minutes or so chatting with Keanu and had a beer with him. I got some pics with him, he autographed my ticket stub and hat. Such a down to earth person and one of the nicest people that I've ever met in my life. He is a national treasure.

As a child I never understood my mother’s obsession and respect for this man, as an adult I do. Fame didn’t change his character, soul, or integrity. Keanu is humble, down to earth, genuine, arguably the best celebrity in Hollywood today. My mother told me when I was a kid that anytime he goes out to eat he makes origami’s out of $100 bills and just leaves them on the table. I firmly believe this. I met Rush bassist / vocalist Geddy Lee at a book signing a couple of years back, and most fans were all telling him the usual : “I love your music.”, “I play in a band because of you”, etc. But knowing that he’s a huge baseball fanatic, I asked him a question about the Blue Jays (his home team), and he looked right at me and give me a very genuine, descriptive, and enthusiastic response...in fact, an even longer interaction than he was giving to most of the other fans. Met him once on the Old Pacific Highway north of Sydney back when he was here shooting the Matrix. He had a HD Fatboy and he was riding the "old road" up to Max's Cafe, just like every other biker in Sydney on a Sunday. This is the great thing about being a rider, you can just get into a conversation with other riders. You can't do the same with your car for some reason. I have just gotten my license this year and was instantly accepted in the biker community. I work in film, as well, just like Keanu, and suddenly realized how many of my co-workers rode a bike, as well, and we had nothing else to talk about suddenly. At the beginning, I thought they'd make fun of me as a new rider who also owns a typical beginner bike, but no... you get so much support and people are really happy for you. Just recently, I watched another video on KZbin in which Keanu talks about his Arch motorcycles and the company. At the end of the video he gives the exact advice that new riders should be given, and it shows he's a really grounded guy in this area: "Don't go too crazy when you just start out. Get a low CC" and he even admitted after so many years, he's not going too crazy with the horse power himself and has a huge respect for it. Really love that he takes motorbikes so seriously with a sense of safety, it shows his genuine passion for it.
